Hello and Welcome.
Time for another great challenge at the
Our theme this month is Sunflowers.
Please check out the wonderful cards done by our talented DT's and our guest Izzy (Izzy Scrap) who is joining us this month.
So onto my card.
I love the look of sunflowers with their majestic presence and the bright, sunny color they have.
I began by cutting a circle from my heavy white cardstock using a die from Spellbinders.
I stamped the Sunny Pair from Penny Black onto the circle then watercoloured the flowers using some diluted Brushos. I used some Peacock Feathers to watercolour in the background and a bit of drywall tape to add some stenciling.
When that was all dry, I added some white details around the flower heads using a white Signo Gel Pen, stamped the sentiment and then applied some Glossy Accents to the flower heads to help make them pop.
I used the next larger circle die to emboss my card front and glued my painted circle inside of that creating a framed effect.
Thanks so much for coming to take a look.
I hope you will play along with us.

So pretty Karen!! Love these beautiful sunflower images. The yellow looks amazing with the bold, bright blue background. You must have a great signo pen ... mine only works when it feels like it. :) xx
Ooh beautiful! I love your vibrant sunflowers - wonderful watercoloring - and the circle is a lovely look. xxx
This summer I also have sunflowers in my garden and I love her, also your card ... so beautiful!!
Beautiful card .....love the blues of the background, which sets off those pretty sunflowers and love how the circle die cuts just chop off some of the flowers. Great layout x.
This is so pretty Karen and love the way you have placed the sunflowers behind the circular frame so some bits are hidden from view, and the blue with the added drywall stencilling is perfect with the beautifully coloured flowers. x
H'mm, I haven't used drywall tape for a while - it adds the perfect touch of interest to the background. Beautiful.

Wow..Your gorgeous watercolored sunflowers really do Pop, Karen. They look so real. I love your circle CAS design and dry wall stenciled background too. TFS my friend. Hugs..
Beautiful sunflowers and a lovely blue background. I like the way you did the embossed frame - a great way to keep a card CAS.
that is a gorgeous sunflower Karen, love the blue stenciling framing it :)
This is so beautiful! I love the water coloring of the sunflowers too.
Beautiful, beautiful card Karen! I LOVE the image you used, and then had to laugh when I looked through my PB stash, and low and behold...I have that stamp too! And never before used too...guess I need to get going!! But anyway, you coloured those sunflowers just beautifully and I love the blue washed background too...such a happy feeling card!! :0)
This was one of my first Penny Black stamps and a reminder of how much I love it! It's so pretty done on the die cut circle with the blue background! I need to make a note to myself to watercolor with the Brushos! I've never tried that.
What a gorgeous card Karen - love your sunflowers!
Blessings
Maxine

A beautiful way to create a spotlight on the florals! I love the coloring you did on the sunflowers. Thank you for joining us at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.xx Ankita
Really beautiful card, Karen ! This duo of sunflowers is so pretty and so wonderfully watercolored. Love also how your blue background highlights those gorgeous flowers ! Also love your beautiful and CAS design. Thanks so much for inviting me as Guest Designer this month, it's a great honour ! xx
Beautiful bright sunflower card, Karen! Love your watercoloring with Brushos and the drywall tape stenciling in the background! The white gel pen is so effective and adding Glossy Accents to the flower heads is a great idea! Hideko xx
Absolutely gorgeous as always! The stencilled background really sets of the yellow blooms! I'm so happy to be part of the CWC team!
These are so pretty and I love the shine. The white pen really brought out the centers of the flowers. I gave up on my white signo pen and now use a Sharpie fine point paint pen. It works every time.
