Hello and Welcome.
It's a super rainy day here today so I thought I would post my Rainy Day card. We sure need the rain after this dry, hot summer we have had. It also gave me a chance to play with this fun stamp from Technique Junkies, one of my favs.
Using a piece of heavy white cardstock, I placed the stamp inside my Misti, inked with some Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink and stamped onto my paper. I moved my paper slightly inside my Misti, inked my stamp with some Faded Jeans DOX and stamped again. I repeated that process with some Hickory Smoke and I was left with a blurred image like you would have on a rainy day.
I then took a wet paintbrush and blended the colours together, then using some more ink, I did a watercolour wash on the sky. I splattered on some diluted ink to give the effect of rain then stamped the sentiment along the bottom.
The rain is making me 'smile' today.

Love your artsy rainy day cityscape image for your card, Karen. I so wish we could get some of your rain to clean the air from the BC and Washington fires. The smoke has made its way 500 miles to South Western Oregon coast. I can not even imagine how bad it is in the areas close to the fires. It sure has been a dry Summer. So looking forward to our Fall rains.

This scene is very atmospheric Karen with your triple stamping technique, and the blurry look does make it look like one of those misty rainy days, and love the sentiment too. x

We had a hot Summer too but after at least 5 days of drizzle and dark clouds I am ready for the sun again LOL.

This is so creative how you've stamped this city scene, Karen. It really does look like a rainy day. So clever!! Doesn't it feel great to have rain after all the hot weather??!! We are hoping to get a little rain this weekend, but it probably won't last. I love the rain and have missed it for the past two months! :) xx
What a great technique to create a 'wet day' look on this wonderful card Karen - we have had so much rain here that everything is saturated, unusual on pumice type soil that we have here... guess we will be moaning about not enough rain soon enough once summer comes....

Ohhh I love this stamp as well. Its amazing how you can feel drawn into the scene, a rainy day, a foggy day, just perfect and excellent colours chosen.
