Cool Colours- CAS Watercolour Challenge

Hello and Welcome.
First card of the New Year and a new challenge at the

This month we are creating using Cool colours.
Here is a sampling of them:

We also want to welcome our Guest Designer this month:

So onto my card details.
I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock and placed it into my Misti.
I positioned the Peacock Feathers stamp from Technique Junkies over my paper then I painted directly onto the stamp with some diluted Brushos in purples, green and blues.  I pressed onto my paper and added more ink where needed.  It helps to spray your stamp with some water as well to help the colours blend.  The Brushos give such rich colour.
When it was dry, I stamped the sentiment and simply mounted it onto a heavy white cardbase.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
I hope you will come and play along with us.  We have some great challenges to offer you this year.

Supplies
Stamps- Peacock Feathers (Technique Junkies); Scripted Bold Sentiments (Pinkfresh)
Inks- Versafine Clair Noir; Brushos
Paper- heavy white (Scribes Nook)
Accessories and Tools- Misti (My Sweet Petunia); paintbrush

What a fabulous way to start off the new Karen with this artsy and stunning card. Such a great effect with the watercolour stamping technique with the Brusho's and love the large scale of the sentiment x.

This is very pretty and the perfect colours for peacock feathers Karen and the straight to stamp technique with the diluted Brushos is gorgeous. x

The watery look distorts the feathers so they look like something we don't recognize - like a modern painting - SO pretty and, of course, blue! xx

What a wonderful blend of colours and such an arty look! At first glance, I saw only an abstract, but on second glance, I saw the peacock feather.

WOW!!! This is a STUNNING card Karen! I didn't even realize you used a feather stamp until I started reading your post...little embarrassed to admit I thought you used a straw to move your color around! After going back to really look at the image though, I can see that it truly is a feather and it's beautiful! FABULOUS card Karen!! :0)

Gorgeous and bold colours for your feather panel, Karen. Love them done with brushos which gives such vibrantcolours. Perfect with the large sentiment stamp in black. xx
