Sympathy

Good Morning
Taking a break from stenciling to use the new to my Foxgloves Embossing folder I picked up from Scrapbook.com.
I so wish I could grow these in my garden, they are so elegant and beautiful.
I used a simple inking technique that can be used with any EB folder and it is a great way to get more mileage from tools you already have on hand.

So here's what I did to create my card.
  • I got out this Foxglove EB folder and inked it up with some Dusty Concord and some Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks.
  • Next, I gave it a small spray of water and then I placed a piece of white cardstock into the folder and ran it through my Spellbinders Platinum machine.
  • I took the inked panel out of the folder and splattered it with my white Posca pen.
  • While that dried, I stamped the sentiment, clear heat embossed it and then die cut it out.
  • I glued the embossed panel onto a heavy white A2 card base.
  • Lastly, I pop dotted the sentiment along the bottom of the flowers.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Adding my card to these challenges:

How stunning and what a great technique to produce this beautiful card. I have cerise coloured foxgloves in my garden and they are prolific, growing everywhere. Thank you so much for sharing, so enjoyable.

I love foxgloves and am fortunate to have them growing in my garden. So I must look for this EF. Love the way you coloured it up before running it through. Makes a great quick card with just a bit of splattering and a sentiment!

Stunning card! I saw it and straight away had to seek out the Lisa Horton embossing folder so I can give this a go! I hope you don't mind? The folder has been despatched already so I should have it soon! Yay! Take care. xxx

I have had Foxgloves in my garden, but even the perennial ones don't seem to come back as beautiful - undoubtedly, I'm doing something wrong - ie my hydrageas!
I adore this EF, Karen - so happy to see its beauty here today - love your purple pressing!

Absolutely beautiful Karen, I love this and the colours you used. We have foxgloves too, last year there were lots, only one came up this year, but we do have a few coming for next year, so let's hope.
