Good Morning
Sympathy cards can be hard to make, that is why I like to have a few made to have on hand.
It was inspired by this background I made and this lovely Eucalyptus stamp.
So here's what I did to create my card.
- I began by making the background. I used my brayer and rolled different shades of Distress Oxide inks over the cardstock. The colours I used were Rustic Wilderness, Peeled Paint and some Bundled Sage.
- When I was happy with the inking, I splattered with my white Posca pen and set aside to dry.
- Next, I took a piece of white cardstock and using the Hero Arts Infinity Hexagon dies, I cut out a large hex.
- I placed the hex into my Misti and stamped the Layered Eucalyptus to one side.
- I stamped the sentiment from Penny Black to the right side.
- I glued the brayered background onto a piece of white cardstock, then onto an A2 card base.
- I popped the stamped hexagon over that.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

I love that sentiment, and you have used it on a beautiful card Karen. I don't know how, with the awful problems I have with Blogger, but Blogger let me in to your blog!

Karen, what a beautiful card in shades of green! The Penny Black sentiment is so loving and perfect for your card,,, love the speckles, too!! Thank you for sharing your card and talents with us at The Male Room for our monochrome challenge!!! -Donna
That's such a beautiful sympathy sentiment ♥ and love the effect from your brayer.
Such pretty shades of green for the eucalyptus leaves Karen and another great sentiment, and love the brayered greens for the inked background, and with that slight bluish tint which I assume is the Rustic Wilderness it looks wonderful. x
An elegant card as a sympathy card - nice to see the shades of green. Thanks for joining us at The Male Room for our Monochrome challenge
