Good Morning
It's been so gloomy and very cold here with lots of snow.
I needed some colour to brighten my day and this stencil was a welcome sight.
So meet the newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:
Here's what I did to create my card.
- I looked through my stash and found this yellow Gel Plate print I had done awhile ago using some Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink and the Simple Mosaic stencil. I thought it would make a good sunny feeling background for my flowers.
- I placed the Nine Flowers stencil over my print and then inked the flowers with some Lumberjack Plaid DOX ink. To help enhance the look of the flowers, I added some Wilted Violet DOX ink just to the flower centers which gave some nice colour variation.
- The flowers looked a bit flat to me so I used my white Posca pen to add some details.
- When it was all dry, I die cut the word shadow right from the bottom of my stenciled panel, then die the sentiment in black and glued them together.
- I glued my finished card front onto a piece of white cardstock and then onto a piece of red and then onto an A2 sized card base.
- I used some foam tape to pop the sentiment back into place.
Here are the stencils I used:
