Hello and Welcome
With Valentines Day just a week away, I decided to use this newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs to make a heart themed card.
So meet the new stencil called:
So, here's what I did to create my card.
- I began by looking through some of my Gel Plate prints and found this background I had done using some Fossilized Amber, Ripe Persimmon and some Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink. I pressed the ink pad directly onto the plate, smoothed it out using a brayer and then rubbed a piece of white cardstock over the plate to create the colourful background.
- I placed the Buzzing Path stencil over the print and inked it up with some Lumberjack Plaid DOX ink.
- Next, I die cut the heart right from the middle of the inked up panel. I cut the heart out 3 more times and glued them all together, stacking them as I wanted a raised heart.
- I also die cut the sentiment from the heart before gluing it all together so the pattern was consistent and matched.
- I glued my card front panel onto a piece of white cardstock and then onto some red and then onto an A2 sized white card base.
- I glued the heart back into place, matching up the pattern and then I added some silver gems around the edge of the heart to finish off my card.
Here is the stencil I used:
