Have a Colorful Day

Good Morning
I want to introduce you to just one of the new stencils for January from A Colorful Life Designs called:

This is a great stencil that includes 4 different designed hearts and a mask included as well.
The hearts on this stencil are spaced apart which makes inking with different colours so easy.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed the Heart With Options stencil over a piece of white cardstock and inked the first plain heart into the bottom right hand corner with some Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink.
  • Beside that pink heart, I inked up the next one with some Ripe Persimmon DOX ink.
  • I repeated the inking process using all the different heart designs along the top of my card panel with more of the Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon and some Peacock Feathers DOX ink.
  • I splattered over the hearts with my white Posca pen and set aside to dry.
  • I stamped the sentiment with some more of the Peacock Feathers DOX ink, clear heat embossed it, then die cut it out.
  • I glued the dried panel onto a piece of blue cardstock, then onto a 4 1/4" square card base.
  • I popped up the sentiment with some foam tape and added 3 pearls around the sentiment.

Love is in the Air

Morning
Meet the new stencils from A Colorful Life Designs called
I decided to use them to make a non-traditional Valentine card.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I cut a piece of white cardstock and laid the Fan Blades stencil over it on my Make Art Station.  I inked it up with some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink.
  • Leaving that stencil in place, I put the Rocky Path stencil right over it and inked with some Villainous Potion DOX ink.  It added a fun pattern to the fan blades.
  • While that dried, I inked a scrap of white cardstock with some more Peacock Feathers DOX ink and then I die cut the heart with the dots and used a paper punch to get the smaller one.
  • I glued my card front onto a piece of blue cardstock and then onto a 4 1/4 inch square card base.
  • I glued the hearts over the center of the fan, then stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock and used some foam tape to pop that over the hearts.

Big Love

Hello and Welcome
Meet the new for January
stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.
Just in time for making some Valentine cards.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I began by rubbing some Broken China Distress Oxide ink onto this Embossing Folder and then ran it through my die cutting machine.  It transferred all the ink to the raised area and I was left with a fun, embossed piece for my card front.
  • I took that embossed panel and placed it onto my Make Art Station.
  • I laid the Big Love stencil over that and inked it up with some Uncharted Mariner DOX ink.
  • Next, I rubbed some Broken China DOX ink onto a white scrap of cardstock, splattered it with my white Posca pen and die cut the heart.
  • I glued the stenciled/embossed panel onto an white A2 sized card base and used some foam tape to pop the heart over the 'O'.

Rainbow Love

Welcome
Who doesn't love seeing a rainbow?
This fun new Layered Rainbow Love Stencil is just so fun to create with.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I began by placing a piece of white cardstock onto my Make Art station.  I then placed #1 Rainbow Love stencil onto my cardstock and inked it up with some Shaded Lilac, Cracked Pistachio and some Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink.
  • I removed that stencil and positioned #2 stencil in place and inked that up with some Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry and some Broken China DOX ink.
  • I removed that stencil and laid down stencil #3 (the hearts) and inked them up with some Picked Raspberry DOX ink.
  • I placed the inked panel into my Misti and stamped the sentiment.
  • I glued it to a piece of matching blue cardstock and then onto an A2 card base.
  • To help finish it all off, I added 3 black gems around the sentiment.

Oodles

Good Morning
Today's card was a simple one to create using 2 new stencils from A Colorful Life Designs called Boho Heart and Heart Surround.
If you scroll down and look at the last card I posted before this one, you can see how you can get a totally different look using the same stencils but reversing the way you layer them.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I laid a piece of white cardstock onto my Make Art station and positioned the BoHo Heart stencil over to the side.  I inked it up with some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink.
  • Keeping that stencil in place over my cardstock, I positioned the Heart Surround stencil right over the top of the first one and inked again using some Uncharted Mariner DOX ink.  Layering them up gave a totally different look to the heart.
  • I removed both stencils and splattered with my white Posca pen.
  • When the piece was dry, I placed it into my Misti and stamped the sentiment from the new stamp set called Oodles also from A Colorful Life Designs.
  • I glued the finished panel onto a piece of blue cardstock, then onto an A2 sized card base.
  • To finish off my card I added 3 black gems around the sentiment.

So Much

Welcome to a new year and a new release at A Colorful Life Designs.
This release is pretty exciting as it not only has some 21 newly designed stencils but also a stamp set!

Today, I am playing with the new Heart Surround, the new Boho Heart stencil and the new stamp set called Oodles.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I cut a piece of white cardstock and placed it onto my Make Art Station.  I placed the Heart Surround stencil just slightly off to one side and inked it up with some Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink.
  • Keeping the stencil in place, I positioned the BoHo Heart stencil right over the top of it, matching up the outline of the heart shape.  I then inked it up with some Blueprint Sketch DOX ink. It gave such a wonderful design by layering the stencils together.
  • Next, I placed the inked panel into my Misti and stamped the sentiment from the new Oodles Stamp set.
  • I added 3 black gems just under the sentiment and glued the panel onto a piece of purple cardstock, then onto an A2 sized card base.
