Merry Wishes

Happy Saturday.
Today, I am having some fun with new stamps from Penny Black.
Lots of new to see HERE.

So onto my card.
I began by masking my card front with a piece of scrap paper.  I placed the Berry Speckled into my Misti and coloured the branches and berries using my Tombow markers, sprayed with water and stamped.  I repeated that process until I was happy with the inking.
I sponged in the bkg using Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans Distress inks then did a bit of stenciling using some drywall tape.  I think it helps add some depth and interest to the background.
I splattered some white acylic paint over the top using a toothbrush, then scored the masked edge using my Scorbug.  For those of you that are not familiar with a Scorbug, it is a little tool that adds raised dots and is used in your ScorPal.
The sentiment was stamped using black Memento ink and my Misti again. The sentiment is from a great new sentiment set called Love and Peace.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
I appreciate your most kind comments and emails so very much!

WOW ... another gorgeous Christmas card, Karen. I'm loving the Penny Black stamps so much this year. The blue really makes the colours of the pine branch and berries pop. Oh my gosh, I was so happy to hear about your ScorBug ... you so kindly gifted me one several years ago and I have never been able to make a straight line. I didn't realize it was to be used with the ScorPal ... how dumb am I??!! I LOVE the effect of using it on the masked edge. xx

This is beautiful Karen using the markers straight to the stamp and spritzed for a looser look and I love the colours and the dry wall tape stencilling in the background. The detailing down the masked edge looks great. x

Oh, Karen, this is gorgeous, and I agree with Loll...just love the blue to make the Christmas colors pop! I guess I am also surprised that I could use my ScorBug with my ScorPal! So glad to hear that, because I've had the ScorBugs for years!! Hugs, precious friend! xoxo
