Happy Saturday!
Meet today's card.
I'm trying to create a few extra sympathy cards to have on hand although really hoping I don't need to use them.
I have been playing around with my Brushos and some new-to-me stamps and this is what I came up with.
For those of you that are not familiar with Brushos, they are highly pigmented inks that are activated with water.
I began by placing my heavy white cardstock into my Misti and positioned the Fern Garden stamp over that. Then, I carefully sprinkled on some Brushos (Turquoise, Marine Blue, Leaf Green), being sure to distribute it evenly over the panel. You can use a DRY paintbrush to help push the Brusho crystals around too.
When I was happy with the coverage, I sprayed my stamp with some water, rubbed over it with my finger to help distribute the water and stamped. You may have to repeat this process if the water hasn't reached all parts of your stamp.
Now the important part....set it carefully aside and leave it to dry.
When totally dry, brush away the excess Brusho crystals.
I placed the dry piece back into my Misti and stamped the sentiment, heat embossed it with some clear powder to help it pop.
I simple mounted it over a plain white card base.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

An excellent technique using Brushos to ink the stamp Karen, and beautifully done using such pretty colours and black ink for the sentiment makes it stand out really well. A wonderful card but hopefully it will not need to be used in the foreseeable future. x
It's a lovely card Karen, and perfect for the occasion. I love the fern stamp and your colours, Kate x
Beautiful, love the background.

So pretty Karen, I love the effect of the brusho crystals in the water.
You make everything sound so simple! I absolutely love the result you have achieved. A Beautiful card.

Thank you, Karen for sharing your detailed description of how you stamped your ferns background with your Brushos. Worked beautifully. Love the font on your sentiment too. TFS my friend. Hugs...
This fern stamp has come to life with your Brusho technique, Karen! Thanks for the tips on how to control those powders. That's always a big challenge for me! Love the bold sentiment with these ferns!
What a genius way of using the Brushos! You fooled me with the technique. I imagined you would say one thing, but you mentioned putting them directly on the stamp and waiting for them to dry after activating them! Great way of removing the left over dry crystals! Thanks for sharing your beautiful and successful technique! hugs, de
So very beautiful and I love the fern design used for it. Wonderful font on that sentiment too.
Unique and artsy card with a fun and fabulous technique. Your card is stunning Karen x
you are so good at this technique. You make it look so easy but it always looks such a mess when I do it! Gorgeous mix of colours that express a real feel of nature. Thanks for joining Time Out
So gorgeous Karen. I have not tried this as I'm so impatient to wait for everything to dry before removing the stamp. :) I just love the crisp images you got with this technique. I have to learn to be patient ... and give this a try! xx
WOW! This looks amazing. I love the effect from the Brushos. Thank you for playing along with the Craft Stamper challenge xx
This is gorgeous - I love the effect you created with the Brushos - you have inspired me to give it a try. Those beautiful leaves make the prefect backdrop for the large scripty sentiment too - wonderful design. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Jill
