Hello and Welcome
The world is in a tail spin right now with this nasty virus running it's course.
I was really feeling the need to create some cards of encouragement and send them to my friends.
I know so many are struggling with the 'isolation' and the 'social distancing'. I think we as cardmakers, can really make a difference in other's lives by sending a bit of sunshine and a paper hug.
So onto my card details.
This card was actually very simple to create and lots of fun. I just love the colours of acrylic paint I used by Vicki Boutin. They are happy and cheerful and remind me that Spring is here.
I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock. I dropped little dabs of paint all over my panel, then using a Stencil Paste Spreader, I moved the paint by spinning it in a circular motion. If you don't have a paste spreader, try using an old gift card, a ruler or even a popsicle stick.
Center the tool you are using to spread the paint and hold it flat against your paper and turn.
This is my first ever video taken using my phone, so I hope it is clear what I am doing.
Once I was happy with the inking, I set the piece aside to dry.
I placed the panel into my Misti and stamped the sentiment using some Versafine ink.
I added some black splatters for interest and then simply mounted it onto a heavy white card base.
I hope and pray you are all safe.
We are staying home and all is closed here except for the grocery stores and the pharmacies.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
Blessings

A cool technique Karen and thanks for sharing.
This vibrant card cheered me up - and never has a sentiment meant more. I hope you are safe and well. x
Bright and cheerful and uplifting, Karen. Good for you for doing a video to show us how it's done.
I love your pretty coloured swirl using these gorgeous acrylic paints Karen and the sentiment is just perfect for how things are at the moment. Thank you for your demo of how to achieve this too. x
Just so beautiful, love it Karen, the colours and design are amazing, keep safe Kate x
Fantastic card! Love this technique!
THAT IS definitely the way, Karen!! Fabulous video, too! LOve how the colors mixed along the way! Thanks so much for thinking of us all today!

That is the best ever sentiment for these strange times we're in. Great idea to send encouraging cards to friends and family. Love the technique you used with the paint (your video demo showed it just fine). I'll have to give it a try.
I LOVE this, Karen! My first thought upon seeing it was how did she get that in a circle like that? And I’m glad you included the video of how you did it. I must pin this so I remember to give it a try. The colors together are perfect choices. And the sentiment perfect for these challenging days/weeks/months. Thanks for sharing your talent once again! Wishing you safety from the virus also.
Wow! great technique, Karen, and such a fun sentiment to go with it! hugs, de
I love how the paint is spread in a circle. It looks great and the colors are so fresh!
Great colours Karen, and thanks for sharing your video - what a fab idea
Wonderful card design and a wonderful idea. I love the look and the sentiment is awesome too. Pretty mix of colors as well.
Congratulations on making your first video Karen - it worked perfectly. I love getting your email deliveries & have often wished there was a video with some of them as I'm a very visual learner. You are so very talented. These colours all worked together well &, as others have said, that sentiment is spot on for the time we are going through. I don't think it's going to be over in a month as I've heard a couple of people say to me. I don't find isolating hard as I'm an introvert & normally stay home for 4 or 5 days in a row without seeing anyone other than my DH & my dog & am content. I think it would be more difficult as time goes by if we didn't have the technology to keep in touch otherwise. Wishing you a safe environment & good health.
Your little video was very helpful, Karen:-) I loved your colors and how your circles turned out. Adding the black splatters was great too. Your sentiment is so perfect for these difficult times. Glad to know you are well and still creating. We are well and keeping busy with Spring gardening, me walking, Denny running and will be planting our big veggie/berry garden in about a month. Still plenty of veggies, berries and applesauce in the freezer:-)
Thank you again for sharing, my dear friend. Love and Hugs...

What a stunning result from such a simple technique - love the technique and the result! I am in isolation due to age and asthma, and it's not easy, even with family handy to get anything I may need..
