Good Morning and Welcome.
Today, I have the pleasure of hosting the TLC Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.
I have had this technique on my list for a long time and after seeing it demonstrated the other day, I thought now was a good time to use it.
So when you were a kid, did you ever 'bubble paint'?
It's super simple and fun to do.
Here's how I created my card.
1. You need a small container. A cup or mug will work fine. I used the mug sitting on
my desk that I wash my brushes in.
2. Fill the cup 1/2 full of water
3. Add a tablespoon of dish soap to the water and stir.
4. Add a colour. I used my Distress Re-inkers but you could use any water based re-inker or even food colouring.
5. Stir the mixture well then using a straw, blow bubbles past the top of the cup.
6. Quickly lay your cardstock panel over the bubbles so they break onto you paper.
7. Remove and let dry....now stamp onto the background.
I did mask my background with an acrylic mask as I wanted a nice, clean white border but you don't have to do that.
After my background was dry, I placed it into my Misti and stamped the Wildflowers from STAMPlorations. I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it with clear powder.
Using my ScorPal, I scored a border all around the inked area.
I mounted it onto a piece of blue cardstock and then onto a heavy white card base.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
