Floral Blessings

Another new stencil to show you today called Wildflowers from A Colorful Life Designs It is just beautiful.
I used the stencil and my Gel Plate to create the panel.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I got out my Gel Plate again, it's so easy to add colour to a background using Distress Oxide inks.  I pressed some Picked Raspberry, Mustard seed and some Cracked Pistachio directly onto the plate, blended using my brayer, then pressed a piece of white cardstock onto that to give the background colour.
  • The Wildflowers stencil was covered with ink from another print I made on the plate and I didn't want to waste it, so I sprayed it with a bit of water and pressed it onto the inked background to get the monoprint.
  • After the ink was dried, I stamped some script along the sides, then placed the piece into my Misti to stamp the sentiment using a great new stamp set called Happy.
  • I splattered with my white Posca pen and glued the inked panel onto a piece of pink cardstock, then onto a card base.
  • Finally, I added 3 black gems right under the sentiment.

Here is the stencil I used:

This is an extremely pretty gelli plate print with also the added monoprint using the wildflowers stencil, such a clever combination Karen and such delightful colours too, and great contrast with the black sentiment and gems. x

Great use of the gelli plate to make both 'layers' of this card Karen, with a fabulous result

Never used a Gelly plate have loads of stencils unused mostly. You have created a beautiful card here using both elements. Hugs Mrs A.

This is a lovely contribution to our current cardz 4 galz challenge. The colours and shimmer are very pretty and the stencil is obviously a nice one to use. Using a Gelli plate is a great way to add inks and pattern. Johanna DT
