Better With You

Good Morning.
Here's a simple, monochromatic card I made using the newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed the Mid Century Star Balls over a piece of white cardstock and inked using some Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink.
  • When the ink was all dry, I used a fine line black marker to draw a border around the edge to add interest.
  • Next, I stamped the sentiment with more of the Picked Raspberry ink and used some clear embossing powder to heat set it. I die cut that out.
  • I glued my stenciled card front onto a piece of white cardstock, the onto a piece of pink and then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I popped the sentiment over my card front with some foam dots.

Here is the stencil I used:

Simple Note

Hello and Welcome
Meet the newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:

I decided to make a more masculine black and white card, so here's what I did.
  • For my this card, I began by getting out my Gel Plate.  I pressed my Black Soot Distress Oxide ink pad directly onto the plate and I used my brayer to spread the ink evenly.
  • I place the Mid Century Double Rainbow stencil over that, then rubbed a piece of white cardstock over the stencil to create the print.
  • I repeated the steps mentioned above, but this time I turned the stencil sideways and printed right over the first one to create this pattern.  I splattered with my white Posca pen and set aside to dry.
  • I die cut a circle from the middle of the dried panel and cut another circle from a piece of black cardstock and glued them together.
  • I die cut the sentiment from some black cardstock and the word shadow from a piece of white and glued those together.
  • I glued my card front panel onto a piece of white cardstock, then onto a piece of black and then onto an A2 sized card base.
  • I used some foam tape to pop the large circle back into place, matching up the pattern and then glued the sentiment over that.

Here is the stencil I used:

Thanks a lot for taking a look.

Wrap Around

Good Morning
Meet this new geometric stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:

So here's what I did to create my card.
  • Today, I thought I would look through my patterned papers where I found this blue check paper.  That was my starting point.
  • I placed the Bauhaus stencil over the patterned paper and inked it up with some Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink.
  • Next, I die cut the flowers with some white cardstock.  I die cut a circle with a piece of navy cardstock, then some blue to match the stenciled panel and glued those together.
  • I cut my white cardstock base with a top fold design, then scored and glued my stenciled piece so it wrapped around from the front to the back.  I trimmed the edges with a narrow piece of the blue cardstock to give it a more finished look.
  • Finally, to finish off my card, I used some foam tape to add the flower circle over my card front.

Here is the stencil I used:

I appreciated your visit...thank you.

Hello Friend

Welcome
Today, I'm playing the the newly releases stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed the Mid Century Atomic Strands stencil over a piece of white cardstock and inked it up with some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink.
  • I lifted the stencil, cleaned it off and flipped in the other direction. This time, I inked it up with some Prize Ribbon DOX ink.
  • To created my white card base, I cut a piece of cardstock that was 4 1/4" wide by 9 3/4" long and scored it at 5 1/2".
  • I cut my stenciled card panel into a 4x4" piece and the left over piece at 1". I glued those onto a piece of blue cardstock and then into place on my card base.  **NOTE:  I decided to cut down the above mentioned panels so I could add the other pieces of cardstock behind them.
  • I took a scrap piece of white cardstock and rubbed my Prize Ribbon DOX pad right onto the paper.  When that was dry, I used it to die cut my sentiment and glued that onto a white die cut word shadow.
  • I used some foam tape to pop the sentiment over the center of the panel to finish my card off.

Here is the stencil I used:

Friendship

Welcome
Today's card features just one of the new stencils for August from A Colorful Life Designs called:

Here's how I used that stencil to create my card.
  • I began by getting out my Gel plate and a piece of white cardstock.
  • I pressed my Distress Oxide ink pads right onto the plate using these colours:  Villainous Potion, Prize Ribbon and some Blueprint Sketch. I took my brayer and blended them together.
  • Next, I placed the Bauhaus Pinwheels stencil onto the plate and rubbed over it with a scrap of paper to lift some of the ink.  I lifted that off along with the stencil and rubbed over the plate with the white cardstock to create the print.
  • I placed the print into my Misti to stamp the image and the sentiment and clear heat embossed them to make them pop.
  • I glued my card front onto a piece of pale blue cardstock, then onto a white A2 sized card base.

Here is the stencil I used:

When You Wish Upon a Star

Good Morning
Today's card was a fun, simple one using 2 of the new for August stencils from A Colorful Life Designs called:

So, here's what I did to create my layered stencil card.
  • I placed the Bauhaus Poster stencil on an angle over a piece of white cardstock and inked one side with some Ripe Persimmon  Distress Oxide ink and the other side with some Picked Raspberry DOX ink.
  • I wanted to add more interest to the background, so I left that stencil in place and put the Bauhaus Circle Mask right over the top.  I inked over the orange with some Carved Pumpkin and the pink side with some Lumberjack Plaid DOX ink.
  • I place my stenciled card front into my Misti to stamp the image which I clear heat embossed to help it show up better against the busy background.
  • I set that aside and die cut the sentiment 5 times with some black cardstock and glued them together, creating a stacked sentiment.
  • I glued the stenciled panel onto a piece of white cardstock, then some pink and then onto an A2 sized white card base.
  • I glued the sentiment into the top corner to finish off my card.

Here are the stencils I used:

Big Wishes

Good Morning
Here's a fun one for you.
A new month means a whole new lineup of innovative stencils filled with so many different designs.
So meet one of the newest one from A Colorful Life Designs called:

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed a piece of white cardstock onto my Make Art Station and put the Mid Century Banners stencil along the left hand side of the paper.  Starting at the top, I inked with some Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and finally some Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide inks.
  • I lifted the stencil off, cleaned it and then placed it back down onto the right side of the paper.  I inked again using the same colours as mentioned above.
  • To help enhance the look of this colourful background, I used the eraser on the end of a pencil to add all the dots.  It really added to the fun look.
  • Next, I took the panel and used a circle die to cut out the middle part.
  • I took the sentiment die and cut it using some purple cardstock and I cut the word shadow with some white and glued them together.
  • I glued my card front onto a piece of pink cardstock, then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I used some foam tape to put the circle back into place, matching up the pattern and then glued the sentiment over that to finish my card off.

Garden Celebration

Good Morning
I love the look of this newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called

So here's what I did to create my simple card.
  • I cut a piece of white cardstock, placed the Bauhaus Circle Mask stencil over that and inked it up with some Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink.
  • When the ink was dry, I rubbed over the panel with an anti-static bag (to help prevent the embossing powder from sticking everywhere) and then placed it into my Misti.
  • I stamped the flowers along the bottom edge with some Versafine Clair ink and used some clear embossing powder to help the flowers pop against the background.
  • I repeated that process with the sentiment as well.
  • I glued the panel onto a piece of purple cardstock and then onto an A2 sized white card base.

Here is the stencil I used:
