So Many Happy Wishes

Welcome
Here is another card featuring our Mid Month release from A Colorful Life Designs called:
I paired it up with a stencil from last month's release called

Here is what I did to create my card.
  • I placed the Mid Century Minimalist stencil over a piece of white cardstock and inked it up with some Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide ink.
  • I lifted that stencil off, placed down the Patterned Noise stencil and inked that up with some Cracked Pistachio DOX ink.
  • Next, I die cut the sentiment words from some dark blue cardstock 5 times and glued those together creating a stacked sentiment. I used the word outline to die cut right from the middle of the stenciled panel.
  • I glued my card front onto a piece of dark blue cardstock, then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I glued the sentiment into the space I cut away with the word outline and added some silver gems around it.
  • I used a scrap piece of the blue cardstock to die cut the string detail and glued that under the sentiment to finish my card off.

Here are the stencils I used:

Garden of Flowers

Good Morning and Welcome
Today's card features our mid-month release from A Colorful Life Designs called
I used it to make a fun background for my flower vine.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed the Mid Century Minimalist stencil over a piece of white cardstock and inked it up with some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink.
  • I wiped the stencil off and then placed it back over the pattern, turning it sideways and inked it again with some Salty Ocean DOX ink. What a fun pattern it created.
  • While that dried, I die cut the flowers and glued a piece of clear vellum behind the frame of the flowers.
  • I glued my stenciled card front onto a piece of blue cardstock and then onto an A2 sized white card base.
  • I glued the climbing flower vine over the background and then added some pearl gems to the flower centers.

Let's Celebrate

Welcome
Here is a fun little card I made using the newly mid-month release stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:

Here's what I did to create my card.
  • I cut a piece of white cardstock and using a Dot Circle die, I cut 2 circles right in the middle of my cardstock.
  • I placed the panel into my Misti and stamped the birthday greeting over the die cut circles.
  • Next, I placed the Patterned Noise stencil over the stamped panel and then inked just around the sentiment with some Distress Oxide inks in these colours....Wilted Violet, Cracked Pistachio, Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon, Peacock Feathers and some Fossilized Amber.
  • I glued the inked panel onto a piece of white cardstock and then I used a black fine line marker to fill in the areas of the sentiment that were over the die cut circles. Hope that makes sense!
  • I glued my card front onto a piece of purple cardstock and then onto a 4 1/4" white square card base.
  • The last thing I did was to add 3 black gems around the sentiment.

Here is the stencil I used:

Hooray and YAY!

Welcome
As most of you already know, I love combining stencils to create fun new patterns and designs.
So for today's card, I combined 2 new stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:

Here's what I did to create my card.
  • I began by rubbing some Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide ink over the back of the Circles and Diamonds stencil, sprayed with Rubbing Alcohol and pressed onto the paper.
  • Leaving the stencil in place, I rubbed some more of the Broken China DOX over the stencil, filling in the circles.
  • I lifted that stencil off and positioned the Flower Rays stencil over the background and inked it up with some Prize Ribbon and some Uncharted Mariner DOX ink. The flowers gave the background such a great feeling of energy.
  • Next, I looked through my scrap pieces of inked cardstock and found this one that I had done using Brushos on white cardstock so I used that to die cut my sentiment and glued it onto the white word shadow.
  • I glued my stenciled card front onto a piece of navy cardstock and then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I used some foam tape to pop the sentiment over the middle of my card.

Here are the stencils I used:
Circles and Diamonds

Zipping By to Say Hi

Good Morning
Today's cute card was made using a new for May stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I laid the Circles and Diamonds stencil flat onto my work surface and pressed my Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink pad all over the stencil until it was covered with ink.
  • I sprayed the stencil with some Rubbing Alcohol and then pressed it onto my white cardstock and left it there for a minute to let the ink soak in.
  • I dried the paper, cleaned off the stencil and placed it back over the pattern, matching it up and inked again with more of the Prize Ribbon DOX ink.
  • While that dried, I die cut the zipper with some navy cardstock.
  • I took the stenciled base and cut a small 'V' at the top and glued the zipper over the stenciled background.  I also added a small piece of white cardstock behind the zipper to show at the top.
  • I glued that onto a piece of pale grey cardstock, then onto a piece of pale blue and then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I had a small piece of the stenciled base left when I cut it down, so I used that to create a small pocket.
  • I used some foam tape to add the pre-printed sentiment across the bottom to finish my card off.

Here is the stencil I used:

Very Best Wishes

Welcome
I'd like you to meet 2 new stencils from A Colorful Life Designs called:
By doing some stencil layering, I was able to create a super fun design.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I cut a piece of white cardstock and placed the Spotlight stencil over my paper then inked it up with some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink.
  • I removed that stencil and placed the Dashing Circles stencil over that, matching up the circle designs and inked again with some Villainous Potion DOX ink. What a fun pattern it made!
  • I die cut a circle from the middle of my stenciled panel and glued it onto a purple die cut circle.
  • Next, I stamped the sentiment in my Misti and die cut that out with a circle die.
  • I glued my stenciled panel onto a piece of purple cardstock and then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I popped the die cut circle back over my card front, matching up the pattern and then glued the sentiment over that.

Joyful Music

Good Morning
This month at A Colorful Life Designs, some of the stencil designs revolve around music, the universal language.
So meet the new for March stencil called:

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I used an older stencil called Dot Circle to start my background and I inked that with some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink.
  • I removed that stencil and placed the notes from the Music stencil across my card base and inked it with some Salty Ocean DOX ink.
  • I placed the panel into my Misti to stamp the musician with some black ink.
  • I took the Music stencil again and inked the 'music' word along the bottom with some Salty Ocean and some Black Soot DOX ink. (by using the black ink along the bottom of the word helped ground the sentiment)
  • I used some more of the Salvaged Patina DOX to add a shadow around the outside edge of my card front.
  • Using my black Posca pen, I splattered just around the bottom edge of the image.
  • I glued my card front onto a piece of white cardstock, then a piece of navy and then onto a white A2 sized card base.

Here are the stencils I used:

YAY for You!

Welcome
This card is way more simple then it looks using the newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:
This card really shows the versatility and simple designs created by moving a stencil and overlapping the pattern.

Here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed the Celtic Mask over a piece of white cardstock and inked it up with some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink.
  • I wiped the stencil off, then shifted it over and inked again with some Uncharted Mariner DOX ink.
  • I splattered over the stenciling with my white Posca pen and set aside to dry.
  • I die cut the 'YAY' letters from a piece of pale blue cardstock and added some white details to the letters to add to the interest.
  • I die cut the word shadow right from the middle of my stenciled card base and also from a piece of dark blue cardstock. I glued them together, offsetting a bit to show the darker behind and to give it a bit of contrast.
  • I glued my card front onto a piece of white cardstock, then onto blue and then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I used some foam tape to pop my sentiment back into place, matching the pattern.

So Happy

Welcome
This fun little card was created using the new stencil called:
from A Colorful Life Designs.

Lots of possibilities with this one, but I decided to keep it really simple.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed the Circles Galore stencil over a piece of white cardstock and inked it up with some Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink.  I was left with a fun panel of dotted circles.
  • To add more interest, I took the eraser on the end of a pencil and added the dots in these Distress Oxide colours; Ripe Persimmon, Abandoned Coral and some Peacock Feathers.
  • I glued my square stenciled panel onto a piece of blue cardstock and then onto a white 4 1/4" square card base.
  • I stamped the sentiment in my Misti and die cut it out.  I die cut a blue circle slightly larger and glued them together before adding them to the middle of my card with some foam tape to pop it up.

Here is the stencil I used:

People Like You

Welcome
Today's card features the newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called

So, here's how I created my card.
  • I found this background in my stash that I had done on my Gel plate.  It had some blue inks on it and I thought it looked like clouds, so that was my starting point.
  • This stencil has 2 parts included to overlap one another. I placed the top of the Circle Moon Stencil over the background and inked it up with some Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink.
  • I lifted the stencil and moved it down to the detail portion and inked again but this time I used some Uncharted Mariner DOX ink.
  • I glued the stenciled panel onto a piece of white cardstock, then onto a piece of blue and then onto an A2 sized white card base.
  • I cut the pre-printed sentiment and added it along the bottom with some foam tape.

Here is the stencil I used:

Happy Hooray!

Happy September!!
There is a crispness in the air and the kids are going back to school.
A new month also means a new lineup of stencils from A Colorful Life Designs, some great Fall inspired designs.
Today's card features one of the new release called

I thought I'd use some Fall colours so here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed the Quarter Moons stencil over a piece of white cardstock and inked with some Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide ink.
  • I wanted to add interest to the design, so I left the stencil in place and put the Bauhaus Circle Mask stencil (last month's release) right over it and inked again with some Lumberjack Plaid DOX ink.
  • I placed the stenciled panel into my Misti to stamp the sentiment and clear heat embossed it.
  • I glued the panel onto a piece of orange cardstock, then onto white, then yellow and finally onto an A2 sized card base.
  • Lastly, I added 3 black gems around the sentiment to finish off my card.

Here are the stencils I used:
