Little Wonder

Hello and Welcome
Today, I needed a baby card for a little girl and I thought this bubble background would work perfectly for that.
I made this bubble background a few weeks ago and it was the perfect backdrop for this sweet little digital image from MelonHeadz.

So here is what I did to create my card.

  • I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock.  I filled up an old coffee cup with water and added some Dawn Dish soap to the water and then some Picked Raspberry Distress Reinkers and mixed well.  Using a straw, I blew bubbles with the mixture and pressed my cardstock panel over the bubbles until it was covered.  TIP: blow the bubbles past the top of the cup so you don't get the impression of the top of the cup on your panel.
  • I set the panel aside to dry completely.
  • While that dried, I printed this cute little digital bunny image from the Melonheadz site, then fussy cut it out.
  • Using my Copic markers, I coloured in the image with some pinks and purples to match the bubbles in the bkg.
  • I placed the dried bubble bkg. into my Misti and stamped the sentiment along the bottom using my Versafine Clair ink, then clear heat embossed it.
  • I pop dot mounted the bunny over the sentiment, then using a black Signo marker, I drew in the extended whiskers on the bunny.
  • To add interest, I added some Glossy Accents to the bunny's ears, nose and bow which you really can't see in the photo but it did add a lot of interest and some texture.
  • I mounted the panel onto a heavy white card base.

Here is what the panel looked like when I added the bubbles.  I like to make a few at a time.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
Have a great week.

Anything Goes- The Flower Challenge

Hello and Welcome

A new month means a new theme over at

An easy one this month and there is a prize offered.
ANYTHING GOES

We are very happy to announce that we are being sponsored by one of our own Design Team members this month. The amazing Rachel Vass is now designing beautiful floral digital images. Do check out her Etsy shop at Rachel Vass Designs as she has  wonderful designs there.
Rachel has kindly agreed to give our lucky winner two digital images of their choice
We are using her wonderful designs on our cards this month too!

Our Guest Designer this month is Joe S. He doesn't have a blog but do check him out on Instagram at vjsjoey if you have a minute as he makes such fabulous cards.

So onto my card details.
I began by printing off this gorgeous digital image by Rachel called Trio of Roses onto some heavy white cardstock.  Next, using my Zig Waterbrush markers, I watercoloured in the flowers.
After I was happy with the inking, I splattered it with some diluted ink to add interest.
I really wanted the roses to pop so I fussy cut them out at the top and mounted them onto a piece of black cardstock.  I love the contrast it gave.
The bottom looked a bit stark, so I used some drywall tape to add a bit of stencilling.
I mounted it onto a piece of white cardstock, then onto a pink card base to help bring out the colour of the roses.  I left it without a sentiment so I could add one later for any occasion.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Lovely Magnolia- The Flower Challenge

Good Morning and Welcome.
Time for some fun at
This month our theme is:

For the challenge this month, we are offering a lovely prize to the winner.
This month, the talented EunJi Jung from DotBStamp, has offered two of her newest released digitals as a prize.  The DT's have also used these digitals to create our cards this month.
Please check out the wonderful creations over at the blog.

So onto my card.
I wanted this beautiful magnolia to be the star of the show so I printed it out onto heavy white cardstock, watercoloured it using my Zig Waterbrush markers, then fussy cut out the images.
I mounted one flower over the other using pop-dots to help give it some dimension.
I stamped a piece of blue cardstock with Penny Black Script as a backdrop then mounted it all under a circle frame.  I added the sentiment using my Misti.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
