Good Morning.
Creating has brought a lot of joy to my time off during this Pandemic.
I've enjoyed watching some great videos and appreciate having the time to just play around.
This card was created after I watched a video by Kelly at Ranger Ink on FB. She played with acrylic paint and found objects. I wanted to give it a try as soon as I watched it.
Super easy to do and lots of fun.
So here's how I created my card.
I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock. Using 3 colours of acrylic paint, I simply painted some squares onto my card front with a paintbrush, then let them dry. Easy, right?
When it was all nice and dry, I thought about what I could use to create the markings over the colourful squares. I used a stylus for the dots, a credit card for the lines, a script stamp, a small plastic cup and a barrette. I dipped them into some black acrylic paint and printed over the squares.. I did add some splatters for interest too.
While that dried, I stamped the sentiment and cut it out. I pop dotted that over the dry bkg and then mounted it onto a heavy white card base.
I hope you are all doing well during these time of isolation.
Thanks so very much for coming by and taking a look....so appreciated!

This is such an interesting background Karen and love the acrylic paint colours and the dots and stripes and circle made with different objects..I'm not sure what a barrette is though. A very pretty finished look! x

All artsy, unique, vibrant and fun....I can see you had fun with this one Karen x.
What a great result Karen. Loving the vibrant colours and the various markings in black. The sentiment is a great choice - easily seen, but it does not obscure the fabulous background
Stay safe

You always make such straight foward backgrounds look so great. I try and they never work, but they all work for you. This one looks like something I can manage. (which probably mean epic fail LOL) Love the colors and the different insides of the boxes!
Hi Karen
Bright and beautiful .. .. I love this.
Great colour choices too!
Love Jules xx
Karen: This is a FABulous card! Love this trio of bright colors together and the graphic contrast of the black and white with that trio makes a stunning card! Awesome! Thanks for participating in the custom background challenge month for APTS blog! --Becca/resident designer

Love it! I am always inspired by abstract creations but I am never successful in pulling them off. I love your concept and it is beautifully executed! Thanks for a creative and inspiring submission to our challenge at A Place To Start!
