Atomic Teardrops

Welcome
Today's card was a fun one to create.
It's the last day of July and I wanted to show you one more new releases stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed the Mid Century Atomic Teardrops stencil over a piece of white cardstock and then inked it up with these Distress Oxide colours:  Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers and some Uncharted Mariner.
  • I moved the stencil over and filled in some of the white areas with the same colours mentioned above.
  • I removed the stencil and set aside to let the ink dry.
  • I die cut the birthday sentiment with a piece of dark blue cardstock and then cut it 3 more times with some white cardstock.  I glued them all together, stacking them on top of each other to make a raised sentiment.
  • I glued the stenciled card front onto another piece of the dark blue cardstock, then onto an A2 sized card base.
  • I glued the sentiment over the middle of the card front on an angle and finally, added 3 silver gems to give more interest around the sentiment.

Here is the stencil I used:

The pink and blue look so pretty together and mixing to make a bit of purple too Karen, and the Atomic Teardrops stencil is terrific, and finished with a lovely deep blue sentiment and some silver gems which complement it perfectly. x

Love the colour mix, another Super card with the stencil. Wish we could get the stencils in the UK. (postage is prohibitive) x
