CAS Happy Thoughts- The Flower Challenge

Good Morning.
A new month means a new theme at

We have a PRIZE to give away again this month. The amazing Michele from
CAS-ual Fridays stamps has generously agreed to give our lucky winner this month a
prize of $25. All the Design Team have used CAS-ual Fridays stamps also on their cards. Michele very kindly gave us all some of her stamps to use on our cards ;)

We also have a new Guest Designer for October ,Tina Magnusson I am sure you will agree she makes such beautiful cards. Do check out her blog you won't be disappointed!.

This is how I created my card.

I began by rubbing some Blueprint Sketch DOX ink onto a piece of acetate, sprayed with water and pressed onto my white cardstock just to one side.  I tried to leave some white open space as we are creating a CAS style of card.  Next, I place the Simple Grid stencil over the inked area and added some random bits of stencilling for interest using some Tumbled Glass DOX ink.
While that dried, I took a piece of white cardstock and using some more DOX inks in the same colours as mentioned above and a wet paintbrush, I painted the flowers then fussy cut them out along with the leaves.
I stamped the sentiment using my Misti, then added the scored lines to help define the stamped areas.
I simply mounted it all onto some heavy white cardstock.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Up on the Rooftops

Meet today's card.
Just a simple one filled with some fun.

I began by masking the side panel with a piece of scrap paper.  I punched a circle as well to represent the moon as I sponged with my Distress inks to fill in the masked area.
Leaving the mask in place, I stamped the trees using black Memento ink.
I removed the mask and stamped this fun flying Santa in his sleigh that I just picked up from The Stampin Place, with more black ink.  Added a simple sentiment and then mounted the whole piece onto navy cardstock.
That's it...pretty simple eh?

Thanks for coming by and taking a look.
