Hello and Welcome
Today's card is a simple one I did on my Gel Plate using Distress Oxide inks.
So here's what I did to create my card.
- I cut a piece of white cardstock that would become the front panel. I got out my Gel Plate and brayer along with some Carved Pumpkin and some Fossilized Amber Distress ink.
- I pressed the pads directly onto the plate, leaving a bit of space between them. Using my brayer, I blended them together.
- I laid on some leaves that I picked in my garden right onto the plate over the ink. I like to use the end of a paint brush to press and get good contact with the leaves and the plate.
- I took the white cardstock panel and rubbed it over the plate, pressing firmly to get the whole surface covered with ink.
- THIS STEP IS IMPORTANT TO GET THE LOOK..... lift the cardstock up just enough that you can access the leaves...do not lift it totally off of the plate. I removed the leaves with a tweezer and then pressed the paper back down onto the plate to pull the print.
- I put the panel into my Misti to stamp the sentiment, then splattered using my white Posca pen.
- I glued it onto a piece of white cardstock, then some rust cs then onto a white card base.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
