Freestyle

 Happy Saturday.
Calling this card 'freestyle' because of the loose watercoloured look it has.
I did that easily by making my own stamp pad and by using my Full Bloom stamp from Penny Black.

I wanted to play with shades of blues so I sprinkled 2 colours of Brushos onto my non-stick craft sheet, sprayed with water and used that as my stamp pad.  Love the variation of colour I was able to achieve  by dipping my stamp in the wet pigment and stamping onto my 90 lb. watercolour paper.
When that was dry, I inked up my Letter Background stamp from Penny Black with Faded Jeans Distress ink, stamped off and then onto my background.  Love that stamp for adding interest and depth to my backgrounds.  I also sponged the edges using some more of the Distress ink.
There were puddles of Brushos left on my craft sheet so I took a paint brush and added splatters as well....can't just let good paint go to waste now can you!

Finally, when everything was all nice and dry, I stamped the sentiment from  the Sentiment Collection using black Memento ink and my MISTI.

If you own Brushos or even Color Bursts, it is a fun way to play around with your stamps and try and see what colour variations you can come up with.

You always get such a beautiful look with your PB stamps and Brushos, Karen. I should be getting a couple of PB stamps any day now and I plan to try your spritzed marker technique. Wish me luck. ;)
