Happy Dance

Today over at the Penny Black blog, they are featured my card using one of the cute little clowns from the stamp called Three Clowns.  It was a fun and easy stamp to work with and has many possiblilities.
I lined the side of my card with dp to match the clown and set him balancing a cupcake onto the sentiment from the Sweet Wishes set.  For a finishing touch, I added Glossy Accents to his buttons, nose and cupcake.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Monday.

Fruity Drinks

Well it's Sunday and I had to play along with the challenge at Splitcoast and also wanted to add this one to the challenge at CASology and Simon Says.    Who doesn't love a nice cool, fruity drink on a hot summer day??  My card uses stamps from Fiskars and the yellow bkg. is made by inking my acrylic block and spraying with water before stamping.  The rest is pretty straight forward.
Thanks so much for coming to have a look.

Forever

The week is just flying by and I needed to make a card for my DH for our Anniversary on Monday so played along with the challenge at Splitcoast: Hit the Beach and the challenge at Moxie Fab: Create a Love card.  I was happy to have found this stamp in a sale bin at Michaels the other night for less then half price.  It has such wonderful detail.
So, I masked the oval, sponged on Distress Inks then dropped some water onto the ink which is water based and leaves the droplet marks behind.  Then I added the shells and the sentiment.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Green and Blues

Just another masculine card as I am playing along with three challenges today...the CAS challenge at Splitcoast is to add twine to your card; Moxie Fab is to create a Birthday card and CAS-ual Fridays...Let's Strip.  I am really having fun playing with these new stamps from The Craft's Meow.  I masked the center area, sponged on Distress inks and then overstamped.  Lastly I added the scored lines and the twine.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.  Have a great week.

Hey Buddy

In my ongoing attempts to create more masculine cards (sometimes I want to pretty them up too much), here is a card I made for the Featured Stamper challenge at Splitcoast and also the challenge at Moxie Fab to create a Hello card.
I started by stamping the sentiment from Paper Smooches then masking and stamping the PTI set on either side.  I added the black line with a fine marker and mounted it over a chevron bkg.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.  Enjoy your Sunday.

Supplies:  stamps: PTI, Paper Smooches/ fine tip marker/ pop dots

Flowers of Thanks

Here is a card I made using stamps from Paper Smooches and Penny Black.  The sentiment is stamped then masked so the flowers from Petal Party set could be stamped on either side.  I added the black lines with a fine tip marker and rounded the corner.
I am adding this to the challenge at Moxie Fab...to create a thank-you card.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Thinking of You done in Blue

Here is the card I made featured on the Penny Black  blog today based on a sketch that I saw and loved.  I stamped the main panel flowers called Awakening with Versamark then embossed with white.  I rubbed on Distress inks then dropped water onto the paper.  Since the Distress inks are water based, it leaves droplets on your paper.  I then stamped the sentiment from the set Gratitude which is getting a lot of use lately, cut it out with a Spellbinders die and while still in the die, sponged on blue.
I am also adding this card to the challenge at Moxie Fab.
Thanks so much for visiting today and hope you have a great weekend.

Sending Happy

It's Thursday already...such a busy week but so happy I found some time to play along with my first challenge at Paper Smooches Sparks challenge.  This week is a sketch challenge...now I usually don't do well with sketches but this one spoke to me!   I stamped the flower heads, coloured them with Copics then cut them out.  I pop dotted them over a piece of washi tape and added the faux stitching just to perk it up.
Those PS stamps always bring a smile to my face.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Inspired by Thumbelina

The challenge at Splitcoast today had me really scratching my head.  It was to create a card based on a Fairy Tale.  Here is what I came up with.
The story of Thumbelina is about a tiny girl being born on a flower in a beautiful garden.  I used a circle mask and then stamped within it using my stamps from The Craft's Meow to represent the garden.  I  then removed the mask and stamped the sentiment then stamped, coloured and cut out the little flower girl from Stampotique...pop dotted her for interest.  I am also adding this one to the challenge at Moxie Fab which was to create a birthday card.  Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Summer Butterfly

Well meet today's card....happy to say that I had time to play along with the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast today and wanted to add one more card to the challenge at Moxie Fab.   I used this soap as my inspiration for my card.  I love lime and it so reminds me of summertime.

Coconut Lime Handmade Vegan Artisan Cold Process Soap
I stamped the butterfly from the Social Butterfly set with Memento inks and cut it out.  Mounted it onto a circle stamped with a new bkg. pattern from Penny Black called Flower Flourish.  Added the frame with the distressing edges.  The sentiment is from the Gratitude set.

Special Day Circles

Today is my day at the Penny Black blog to feature a card using stamps of my choice.  Here is the stamp I used called Wow.  It is the same stamp that I used on my card from yesterday.  I stamped it off to the side as I wanted to keep all the graphic details to the right.  I filled in the spaces that were left by stamping again, then I coloured the circles with Copic markers.  I felt it still needed some more interest, so I stamped again and cut out a few of the circles  so I could pop dot them.
I am also adding this card to the birthday card challenge at Moxie Fab
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
Hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend.
