Floral Thinking of You

Hello
Today's card was a pretty simple one I created using my Gel plate and this newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I began by getting out my Gel plate.  I pressed my Prize Ribbon and my Villainous Potion Distress ink pad directly onto my plate and using a brayer, I blended the colours together.
  • I laid the Dinnerplate Dahlias stencil onto the plate next and rubbed a piece of white cardstock over the plate to lift the print.
  • Next, I inked up a large Script stamp with some more of the Villainous Potion DOX ink, stamped off and then stamped right over the flowers to add more interest.
  • I stamped the sentiment along the bottom, then inked the edges of the white cardstock.
  • I glued my card front onto a piece of white cardstock, then blue, then purple and then onto a white 4 1/4" square note card.
  • I added 2 black gems to the flower centers to finish off my card.

Here is the stencil I used:

Wishing You the Best

Good Morning
I had fun layering 2 new for May stencils from A Colorful Life Designs to create my card for today.
Meet 2 of the new stencils called:

So, here's what I did to create this simple card.
  • I placed the Circle of Lines stencil over a piece of white cardstock and secured it well.  I masked off one area of the stencil and inked with some Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink.
  • I moved the mask to the next section and inked with some Peacock Feathers DOX ink.
  • I repeated that process and inked with some Ripe Persimmon and some Mustard Seed DOX ink.
  • Leaving the stencil in place, I inked the Outline Daisies into each section of the different colours using some black ink.
  • I cut a white and a larger blue circle, glued those together and stamped the sentiment into the center.
  • I glued my card front panel onto a piece of white cardstock and then onto a piece of blue, then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I used some foam tape to pop the sentiment over the middle of my card front.
  • Lastly, to finish off my card, I added black gems to the middle of the flowers and 3 under the sentiment.

Good Morning
I had such fun creating this card using 2 of the newly released stencils for May called
Both are such unique looking stencils.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed the Circle of Lines stencil over a piece of white cardstock and inked it up with some Salvaged Patina and some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink.
  • Leaving the stencil in place, I secured the Swirl Band stencil over the top of it and inked again with some Uncharted Mariner DOX ink. I shifted the stencil and inked again so the background was filled in.
  • Using a die, I cut a circle right from the center of my card front panel. I glued that onto a larger white circle.
  • Next, I stamped the sentiment right over the die cut circle and set aside to dry.
  • I glued the stenciled panel onto a piece of white cardstock and then onto a piece of blue and then onto an A2 sized white card base.

Dinnerplate Dahlias

Welcome
I really had fun making today's card using a newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:
I paired it up with an older stencil called

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I began by inking the background on a piece of white cardstock using the Wild Rings stencil and some Broken China Distress Oxide ink.
  • After inking the whole front of the paper, I removed that stencil and placed the Dinnerplate Dahlias stencil down and inked with some Uncharted Mariner DOX ink.
  • I added some white splatters and some dots using my white Posca pen.
  • I let that dry while I die cut out the sentiment with another piece of white cardstock and when the panel was dry, I did cut the word shadow right from the center of my stenciled card front.
  • I glued the panel onto a piece of white cardstock and then onto a piece of blue and then finally onto an A2 sized card base.
  • I used some foam tape to pop the sentiment back into place over the card front panel.

Rainbow Hello

Good Morning
How about another rainbow inspired card.  Super easy to do using the Rainbow Scratch paper I picked up at the Dollar Store.
So meet the newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • As I mentioned above, I began with a piece of Rainbow Scratch paper and placed the Ordered Lines stencil under the paper and secured it well.
  • Using the side of a popsicle stick, I rubbed over the entire paper to transfer the pattern.
  • I took another piece of the scratch paper and placed the Broken Lines stencil under that and rubbed over it to transfer the pattern.  I used that piece to die cut the sentiment.
  • I glued the stenciled card front panel onto a piece of black cardstock, then a piece of blue and then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I used some foam tape to add the sentiment across the front of my card.

Scalloped Harlequin

Welcome
I had fun playing with this newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called;

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed the Scalloped Harlequin stencil over a piece of white cardstock and inked it up with some Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide ink along the middle and then some Picked Raspberry DOX ink along the edges.
  • I cleaned the stencil off, shifted the position and then inked again with some Fossilized Amber DOX ink.
  • I removed the stencil and stamped the Grunge stamp over the whole panel with some more of the Ripe Persimmon DOX ink.
  • I splattered the panel with my white Posca pen and set aside to dry.
  • While that dried, I inked another piece of white cardstock with the same colours as used above and stamped it too with the same Grunge stamp.  I used that to die cut the sentiment.
  • I wanted a 'stacked' sentiment so I die cut the Hello 4 x's with some white cardstock and glued them all together, added the inked one to the very top.
  • I glued the stenciled card front panel onto a piece of white cardstock, then pink and then onto a white 4 1/4" square card base.
  • Finally, I glued the sentiment over the middle of the card base and added some gems to finish off my card.

Make it a Good Day

Welcome
Today, I'm playing with a newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called
This stencil is so unique and fun.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed the Op Art Bench stencil over a piece of white cardstock and secured it well.
  • Starting at the top of my stencil, I inked with some Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink. Moving down the stencil, I inked next with some Ripe Persimmon and then finally some Picked Raspberry DOX along the bottom.
  • I removed the stencil and splattered with my white Posca pen and set aside to dry.
  • I went into my scrap box where I found the inky piece to die cut the flowers.
  • As I looked, I also found another piece that I had inked using the A Lot of Angles, also from A Colorful Life Designs.  I die cut the sentiment from that piece. This sentiment did NOT come with a shadow, so I traced around the die onto black cardstock, fussy cut it out and glued those together.
  • I glued the stenciled panel onto a piece of orange cardstock, then a piece of pink and then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I added the flowers along the side and used some foam tape to pop up the sentiment.

Here are the stencils I used:
