Snowflake Net

Welcome
This month we are revisiting some of our favourite stencils at A Colorful Life Designs.
Here is one of my favs called:

So here's what I did to create my card.
I decided to make a Side Fold card using the stencil so I began by prepping my card base.  Here is how I did that:
- Base: cut a piece of cardstock 9 3/4" x 4 1/4"
- Score the base at 4 1/4"

- Stamped Panel Front measures 3 3/4"
- Side Panel measures 1 1/2" x 3 3/4"
** MY STENCILED PANELS ARE A BIT SMALLER AS I ADDED A BORDER AROUND**

  • I placed the Snowflake Net stencil down onto my non-stick mat and rubbed over it with some Blueprint Sketch and some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink being sure to cover the stencil well with ink.
  • I sprayed it with water then pressed it onto a piece of white cardstock.
  • When the print was dry, I stamped over it with a grid and some more script using more of the Blueprint Sketch DOX ink.
  • I splattered the whole panel with my Posca pen and let dry again.
  • Next, I cut my panel as mentioned above and glued them onto my card base.
  • I stamped and die cut the sentiment and glued that onto a blue and white circle die cut.
  • I glued the sentiment onto my card front being sure to add the glue only to one side so the card could still open.

Here is the stencil I used:

A pretty shaped card Karen, and the Snowflake Net stencil inked up to make a stencil print has worked beautifully, and finished with the added script and graph stamping and some white Posca pen splatters. The circular sentiment looks great too. x
