Sending Sweet Wishes

Today at the Penny Black blog, they are featuring clean and simple cards that the designers have created.  Here is the one I made using the newly released stamps.  The flower is stamped onto blue cardstock, embossed with white and details added with a blue pencil before cutting out.  The leaves are embossed with clear onto green.  Dimensional adhesive was used to ‘pop’ the floral arrangement.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Special Day in the Garden

I am playing along today with the Clean and Simple challenge at Splitcoast Stampers to create a card based on a sketch.  Now normally I don't do well with sketches, but this one came together just fine.  First I stamped the flower panel by masking the main flower and stamping the two on the sides.  I coloured them with Copic markers and added the black line to pull it all together.  I mounted that small panel on a piece of embossed white then mounted that onto a piece of orange with 2 scored lines to define the edges.  The flowers are from the new Penny Black set called Petal Party and the sentiment is from the set Gratitude.
Thanks so much for coming by to take a look and hope you have a great week.

Pink Petals

Summer is here so time for a bright flower card.  I am playing along with the challenge at CAS-ual Friday, to create a card with pink on it.  I pulled out one of my all-time favourite sets from Stampin up called Petal Prints for the flowers.  They are stamped, coloured with Copics and the arrangement is pop dotted for interest.  The bkg. is stamped and added between 2 scored lines.  The corner is rounded with a corner chomper.
Thanks again for coming by and taking a look.  Hope you enjoy a great wknd.

Dad's Rock

Very busy week coming up for me and I wanted to post this card I created for my hubbie for Father's Day.  He is such a music fan so this stamp set from Inkadinkadoo called to me when I saw it.  I stamped the images, cut them out and pop dotted them between the scored lines.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.  Hope you have a great week.

Masked Butterflies

What a beautiful day it is here in Ontario, Canada.  Nature is alive and the butterflies are here.  I am playing along with an Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast today and this is the card I created for it.
I used the new stamp from Penny Black called Soft Wings and the sentiment is from the Gratitude set.
I stamped the first butterfly in the corner, masked it then stamped the other two on either side.  I coloured with Copic markers, added the black line to pull it all together then added some Glossy Accents to the butterflies to give them some shine.
Thanks for coming by and taking a peek.

Petal Party

Happy Friday!!!  Today over at the Penny Black blog, the designers are featuring a new set called Petal Party.  This set was great to work with.  Keeping my card very clean and simple, I randomly stamped the flower image and coloured using Copic markers.  The bkg. chevron is from the set called Puzzle Parts.
Hope you have a great weekend and thanks so very much for coming by and taking a look.

Happy Everything

The challenge today at Splitcoast is to create a masculine card.  I wanted to create a fun and happy card so I started by masking the center area then stamping the dots from Paper Smooches and adding some splatters of ink.  I then removed the mask and added the sentiment and the scoring lines.  I am also playing along with the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays which was to create a card with spots and the challenge at Moxie Fab which was to use splatters.

So Sorry

I needed a quick sympathy card....sad to say but I don't have any left in my collection.  I based this card on one I had done a couple of weeks ago.  I also wanted to play along with two challenges at Splitcoast....one was a CAS card white on white and the other was to use half an image.
I masked, stamped and sponged on Distress Inks.  I distressed the edges for interest and mounted the whole thing onto a white card.
Hope your week goes well and thanks for coming by to take a look.

Birthday Hedgy

Happy Sunday and here is a hedgie card I made using stamps from Penny Black.  First I cut a circle from the front panel so I could add the red frame around the opening.  I stamped the bkg with Inspiring for the woodgrain.  I stamped the Hedgy Truffles, cut them out and coloured them with Copic markers.  I pop dotted them under the circle opening.  The sentiment is from the set called Sweet Wishes.
Hope you are having a great weekend and thanks for coming by to take a peek.

Dudes Rule

In an effort to create some extra masculine cards to have on hand I took on the challenge at Penny Black today which was to create a one layer card.  Sometimes I struggle with creating them and so this stamp called Breezy was the perfect fit for making a masked, one layer card.  I used my Scor Pal and Scor Buddy to add the scoring lines.  I am also linking this one to the challenge at Simplicity which was to create a 'Dudes Rule' card.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Through the Trees

Happy Saturday...this week went by so fast!  In an effort to create more masculine cards to have on hand, I made this one to show you today and to play along with the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast.
I was playing with my Distress inks for the bkg. and created it by inking up my acrylic block, spraying with water then stamping.  The trees and the sentiment are from Mark's Finest Papers....a set I won last year.
Thanks for coming by and taking a look and hope you enjoy a great weekend.
