Happy Wishes for the Holidays

Welcome
Today's card is featuring 2 of the newly released stencils from A Colorful Life Designs called:

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I began by looking through my patterned cardstock and found this green check paper.  I placed the Christmas Montage stencil over that and inked it up with some Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink.
  • Next, I took a piece of white cardstock and placed the Marvelous Mask Arches stencil over that. I placed the Christmas Montage stencil right over the top of that and inked it up with some Hickory Smoke DOX ink.
  • I removed the stencils and fussy cut out the arch.
  • I placed the arch into my Misti to stamp the trees and then splattered with my white Posca pen.
  • I set that aside to dry while I die cut the sentiment with some red cardstock 5 times and glued those all together.
  • I glued the stenciled patterned paper to a piece of white cardstock, then onto a piece of red and then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I used some foam tape to pop the arch over the patterned paper, matching up the lettering.
  • I glued the red sentiment along the bottom of the arch to finish off my card.

Here are the stencils I used:

Joyful

Good Morning

This new stencil sheet includes 3 different designs that can be used alone or together.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I cut a piece of white cardstock and placed one of the Three Snowflakes stencils into the corner of my white cardstock and inked with some Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide ink.
  • I flipped the stencil over and inked the other corner with the same snowflake and ink.
  • Next, I took the Snow Doily stencil and inked it up into the open corners using some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink.
  • I die cut the sentiment with a piece of blue cardstock and splattered it with my white Posca pen. I glued that onto the white shadow of the die.
  • I glued my card front onto a piece of navy cardstock and then onto a 4 1/4" square white card base.
  • I glued a navy band across the middle and added the sentiment with some foam tape over that.

This is a stencil that has 3 designs on one sheet, lots of ways to combine them.

Here's what I did.

  • I splattered with my white Posca pen and set aside to dry.
  • I die cut the sentiment with some blue paper, then some white and glued them together, offsetting them a bit.
  • I glued my stenciled card front onto a piece of white cardstock, then blue and the onto a white A2 sized card base.

Message of Sympathy

Welcome
Sympathy cards are not always easy ones to make, so I like to have some on hand.
This newly released set of stencils from A Colorful Life Designs is great for creating simple ink blended card front background.  There are many different sizes in these sets too.
So, meet the newly released:
Here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed one of the Marvelous Masks Arches stencils over a piece of white cardstock.
  • Beginning at the top of the arch, I inked with some Shaded Lilac, Peacock Feathers and some Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide inks.
  • I lifted the stencil off and added a mask along the bottom edge so my stamping would be contained along the bottom of the inking.
  • I placed it into my Misti to stamp out the trees and the sentiment.
  • I glued the panel onto a piece of navy cardstock, then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I added 3 silver gems under the sentiment to finish the card off.

Sending Joy

Hello and Welcome
Here's a festive holiday card that I made using the newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I cut a piece of white cardstock into the banner shape first, then I placed the Christmas Greenery stencil over that. I inked it up with some Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink.
  • I used some Lumberjack Plaid DOX ink to fill in the details and then using the eraser on the end of a pencil, I added the red dots. I also added white dots randomly over the green with my white Posca pen and set that aside to dry.
  • I picked out some striped cardstock, then used that to die cut the sentiment and glued it all together.
  • I glued a piece of red cardstock onto an A2 sized white card base and added the banner shape with some foam tape.
  • I used some more of the foam tape to pop the sentiment over the background.
  • To finish my card off, I added a strip of white and red paper to the top and a red gem to the ornament.

Here is the stencil I used;

Lacy Snowflakes

Good Morning
Here is a non-traditional Christmas card I made using 2 newly released stencils from A Colorful Life Designs called:
There are 2 snowflakes on one sheet and the arches come is a large variety of sizes.

So here's what I did to create my card.
  • I cut a piece of white cardstock 3 3/4" square and found the center point.  I placed one of the Marvelous Masks Arch over the first corner with the arch touching the center spot and inked with some Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink.
  • I flipped the arch over and inked the opposite corner next with more of the pink.
  • I wiped the stencil off and inked the other 2 corners the same way, overlapping them with some Ripe Persimmon DOX ink.
  • Next, I wanted to use some white embossing powder so I rubbed over the whole panel with my Anti-stick powder tool.
  • I placed one of the Lacy Snowflakes over the stenciled bkg and rubbed some Versamark ink over the whole snowflake then I white heat embossed it.
  • I took the 2nd snowflake stencil on that sheet, placed it over the embossed one and inked again with some Lumberjack Plaid DOX ink.
  • I splattered the whole panel with my white Posca pen and then added the die cut sentiment over the middle.
  • I glued my finished card front to a piece of dark red cardstock and then onto a 4 1/4" square white card base.
  • To finish my card off, I added 3 silver gems around the sentiment.

Denim Snowflake

Welcome
Meet another one of the newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:
There are 2 snowflakes on one stencil and they are perfect for creating those holiday/winter cards.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I started by looking through my stash of inky backgrounds and found this one that I had used as a roll off sheet while Gel Plate printing.  (I think? I used some Salty Ocean, Uncharted Mariner and some Blueprint Sketch on my plate and I always keep some cardstock nearby to roll my brayer off.)
  • I die cut the panel with the Wonky Stitches die and rubbed some ink along the edges as well.  It really reminded me of denim.
  • I placed one of the snowflakes from the Snowflake Duo stencil over my cardstock and inked it up with some Uncharted Mariner DOX ink.
  • I lifted the stencil, wiped it off and repositioned it slightly over from the first inking. Using my white Posca pen, I went over the stencil adding the white dots, creating a shadow effect.
  • While that dried, I die cut the sentiment 5 times with white cardstock and glued them together stacking them together.
  • I glued the stenciled panel onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • Lastly, I glued the sentiment over the middle of the snowflake and added 3 silver gems around it.

Here is the stencil I used:
