Totally Awesome

Good Morning
Here is my card for today featuring an older stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I placed the Cracked stencil over a piece of white cardstock. Beginning in the center of the stencil, I inked it up with some Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide ink.
  • Next, moving away from the center of the stencil, I inked with some Picked Raspberry DOX and then some Lumberjack Plaid around the outside edges.
  • I used my white Posca pen to add lots of white splatters to the stenciled background and set aside to dry.
  • I die cut the sentiment with some white cardstock and cut the word shadow from the stenciled panel and glued them together.
  • I glued my stenciled card front onto a piece of white cardstock, then onto some red and then onto a 4 14" square card base.
  • I used some foam tape to pop the sentiment into place.

Here is the stencil I used:

That's Awesome!

Welcome
Here's one last card for May using the newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called:
A mixed media card, something I haven't done in awhile.
Lots of stamping on this one over the stenciling.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I took a piece of white cardstock and dragged some Acrylic Gel over the paper randomly, using an old gift card.  I set that aside to dry, it does take awhile.
  • When the Gel was dry, I inked over the whole panel with some Peacock Feather Distress Oxide ink.  You can see through the inking the areas where I applied the Gel, giving the card a unique look.
  • Next, I place the Square Swirl stencil over my card panel and inked with some Prize Ribbon DOX ink near the top of the panel.  I repeated that process, inking again along the bottom.
  • I added the stamping over the background to add more interest.
  • I die cut the sentiment from some white cardstock and then the sentiment shadow right from the middle of the card base and glued those together.
  • I glue the finished card front panel onto a piece of white cardstock, then a piece of blue and then onto a white A2 sized card base.
  • I used some foam tape to pop the sentiment back into place, matching it to the background.

Here is the stencil I used:

Many thanks for coming to visit today.

So Awesome

Welcome
Today's card features a very unique, cool stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called Floor Perspective.
So many possibilities with this one.
I kept my card super simple in a monochromatic look.

So here's what I did to create my card.
  • I cut a piece of white cardstock and positioned the Floor Perspective stencil along the middle of my panel.  I inked it up with some Peacock Feather Distress Oxide ink.
  • I lifted the stencil off and repositioned it along the first inking, turning it upside down and matching it up.  I inked that with some more Peacock Feathers.
  • Next, I placed the panel into my Misti and stamped the silhouettes near the middle but with their feet touching the floor.
  • I stamped the sentiment just under the images.
  • I glued the finished panel onto a piece of blue cardstock, then onto an A2 white card base.
