Welcome
I've had some extra time. Time I usually am working, time to try things that I usually don't have time for.
So to get my creative juices flowing, I got out my Gelli Plates and have been playing with it using different mediums. It has been so fun and I feel a bit addicted to be honest.
So here's I created my card.
I began by using my Speedball brayer to roll some acrylic paint onto my Gelli Plate. When I was happy with the coverage, I laid on the Round Fragment stencil from A Colorful Life Designs to lift some of the colour. I let that dry, then brayered over the top with some white. When I pulled the print, this is what I got.
* I am still somewhat new to using the plate, but I found my best prints were thinner layers of paint applications. It is really a fine line when applying the paint and different paints react and lift better then others.*
When it was nice and dry, I placed the panel into my Misti and stamped the thistles and leaves along one side and then the sentiment to the right. I splattered with some black acrylic paint to add some interest to the area where I stamped the flowers.
I simply mounted the piece onto some heavy white cardstock.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
Here is the stencil I used for the bkg.

Your card this time is particularly pretty. I love how you use blue so much...my favorite color. I appreciate seeing your blog.
So very beautiful and I love all the wonderful designs in the layout.

Wonderful card . . Thanks for sharing how it was made.
Happy Easter x
I wish I could get results like this with a gelli plate, Karen! This is beautiful especially with those pretty wildflowers!
Wonderful gelli background (and how nice to have time to experiment more - one little upside to what we're all going through). Love the black thistles and leaves against the blue. And a perfect "chaos" sentiment for our present times!
Fabulous card, Karen! I especially like the background. Thanks for joining us at Little Red Wagon.
Loooove your gelli print background, so perfect for your silhouette stamp. :)
A great Gelli Plate background for the silhouette stamping, thank you so much for sharing and joining us at Allsorts challenge.

Another stunner Karen - I love your use of the gelli plate, and thanks for sharing your tips.
I have a gelli plate, but have not used it yet - there's a story why, and it is dependent upon other folks ...
Stay safe
Blessings

This is gorgeous!! i LOVE the background. Stunning card.
LOVE your gelli plate background Karen. The flowers are so pretty and work perfectly with your silhouette thistles. I don't have a lot of luck with gelli plates, but I think it's a matter of playing a lot and learning what works and what doesn't. Maybe I'll have time to do that soon. :) xx
Beautiful and fabulous card.
Thank you for sharing at Allsorts;-))m
Nice job on your stenciled Gelli print background Karen! I agree different amounts and different brands of paint do seem to produce different results! Love that stencil you used. Thanks for joining us at A Vintage Journey! Xx
An artsy and beautiful card Karen and thank you for the tips about the paint. I have got a gelli plate, at long last and 'will' find the time to play with it x.
