Hello and Welcome
Meet today's card.
Pretty simple to create using the Three Rectangle Shadow Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.
So here is what I did to create my card.
- I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock as my front card panel. I laid the Three Rectangle Shadow stencil over the panel and fastened it with some low tack tape.
- Next, using an old credit card, I dragged different colours of acrylic paint over the stencil, depositing it onto my card panel. The paint application was so thin that it didn't take long to dry at all. (you may want to let yours dry a bit as not to get the colours all muddy when mixed together.
- Using the side edge of the credit card, I added some black paint markings to add interest.
- I removed the stencil and immediately washed it in some warm soapy water.
- While all my black lines dried, I die-cut the deer from Memory Box with some black paper twice and glued them together for stability.
- I placed the panel into my Misti and stamped the sentiment with some black Versafine Clair and then clear heat embossed it.
- I glued the painted panel onto a heavy white card base and pop dotted the deer in the corner.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Love your card!
I absolutely love this Karen. The colours are so pretty and the added black using the edge of an old credit card and the other lines using it flat gives such a pretty random look, and the double layer black silhouette deer and sentiment also in black really stand out over the top. A gorgeous card. x
This is beautiful...so simple but it makes such a statement! Love it, thank you for sharing!
This is one of the coolest Christmas cards I've seen. love the non traditional colours :)

Love these non-traditional colors and the contemporary flair of this card, Karen! The deer looks right at home! Awesome, my friend!
Very contemporary! But it also reminds me of 1960s interior design and fashion. Love the vibrant colours making a background for that great reindeer.
Gorgeous modernistic arylic painted rectangle panels, Karen. I love your colors with the added black marks. Beautiful artsy background for your die cut stag, my friend. TFS Love and Hugs...Nancy
