Today, I have the pleasure of being the guest designer at the

The theme is a fun one:

EMBOSS IT

So, here's what I did to create my card.

• I cut a piece of white cardstock and beginning at the top of the paper, I blended these Distress Oxide colours together: Fossilized Amber/ Ripe Persimmon/ Picked Raspberry/ Cracked Pistachio/ Peacock Feathers.
• Next, I embossed the panel with a 3D Burlap folder.  Using a sanding block, I gently sanded over the embossing to add a bit more interest and reveal a bit of the white cardstock.
• I laid the Dot Circle  Dot Circle stencil (one of my favs) over the embossed panel and inked with the same colours as mentioned above.
• I die cut out the little paint brushes and glued them together.
• I stamped the sentiment in my Misti and then die cut it out.
• I glued the embossed panel onto a piece of white, then pink cardstock and finally onto an A2 sized card base.
• I glued the little paint brushes onto the card front and used some foam tape to add the sentiment.

It's my turn to host the TLC Challenge (Technique Lovers) over at Splitcoast Stampers this week.

I'm calling my challenge Stripped Down.

I saw a video by Jennifer McGuire that inspired my card.

So, here's what I did to create my card.

• First, I inked up a piece of white cardstock with some Distress Oxide ink.  No special technique here...just put ink all over your cardstock.  The colours I used were: Wilted Violet, Broken China, Uncharted Mariner and Prize Ribbon
• I dried the ink on the panel and die cut it into strips, keeping them together in the order that I had inked them up.
• When they were all cut, I glued them onto another piece of white cardstock, flipping every other strip around to face in the opposite direction.
• I glued them all down and set aside to dry.
• After the glue dried, I placed the piece into my Misti, rubbed over the panel with my anti-static powder and stamped the snowflake into the top corner with some Versamark ink and white heat embossed it.
• I splattered with my white Posca pen to give a snowy effect.
• I used some foam tape to stick the finished piece onto a piece of white cardstock, then onto a piece of shimmer purple and then finally, onto an A2 sized card base.
• I popped the sentiment over the panel.

Today's card is a fun one, created using a Bokeh layering stencil and my Distress Oxide inks.

I'm playing along with a Best Friends Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.

So, here's what I did to create my card.

• I cut a piece of white cardstock for my main panel and laid it onto my Stencil Mat.
• Next, I got out the Bokeh Layering stencil from TE. This set has 3 stencils to it, so I placed the first stencil over my panel.  The stencil mat has a corner which is very useful when doing laying stencil, so you are able to get all the stencils lined up in the right position.  I inked over it with some Mustard Seed DOX ink.
• I removed that stencil and placed the 2nd one down and inked with some Carved Pumpkin and repeated that process with the final stencil and some Picked Raspberry.
• When all the stenciling was done, I splattered with my white Posca pen.
• I decided to cut the finished panel into 2 pieces to add interest and glued them onto a piece of white cardstock, then onto a piece of some matching orange cardstock.
• I stamped the sentiment in my Misti, die cut it out with a circle and glued that onto a slightly larger orange circle.  
• I glued the panel onto an A2 card base, then popped the sentiment over to one side.
