Celebration

Let's face it.  I am addicted to watercolouring and to using my Distress inks and just playing.  I love that you can get a different look every time and since they are water based, blending is so simple.  This card was inspired by a card I saw done by Marion Vagg.  I loved it and wanted to try my hand at it.
I pulled out my Paper Smooches stamps and started inking, spraying and randomly stamping.  Love the mottled look of the stamped image.  I used Mowed Lawn; Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks on my card.
I am adding my card to the challenge at Simon Says Stamps; Anything Goes.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Warm Fuzzies

Good Monday Morning.  So grateful to see the sun shining!  Just a bit of happy today with a card I made last week using a new set from The Alley Way Stamps.  I stamped the little guy and coloured with Copics.  I added Glossy Accents to their noses for a little extra pop of colour.
Hope you have a great week and thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Sympathy

So happy I have time to play along with a couple of challenges today.  The Featured Stamper challenge today at Splitcoast and the Simon Says Challenge; favourite ink.
The favourite inks is a no-brainer for me.  I love Distress inks and for my background piece I tried to create a watercoloured looking piece by painting over a mask with Distress inks and a water brush.  I love the how the colours turned out.
I want to get a few sympathy cards made...hate having to do them at the last minute.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Scenic View

Welcome to the weekend.  It is freezing here in Ontario this morning....frost on the roof.  Oh well, the sky is blue and the sun is shining and that is a blessing.
I made this card for the Inspiration Challenge today at Splitcoast (see inspiration piece below)and for the Addicted to CAS; Birthday and the Simon Says Challenge.  Simple card, masked a circle, stamped the scene and then sponged with Distress inks.  The sentiment is from a Michaels dollar bin.
I hope your day is filled with many blessings and thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Supplies:  stamps:  Memory Box; Michaels dollar bin/ Distress ink, twine, Black Memento

OLW141- Repeat After Me

Welcome to another week for the OLW Challenge (One Layer Wednesdays).  This week the challenge is:

Repeat After Me- create a repeat background using the same stamp.

My card masculine card was created by stamping the background with the explosion stamp from The Alley Way on an angle and then just colouring one of the explosions with Copics.  I stamped the sentiment and coloured it the same then for a 'POP', I added Glossy Accents to the coloured areas.  Quick and easy and perfect for one of my little guys having a birthday.

Really hope you get a chance to play along this week.  Here are all the details:

OLW141 RULES

Sweet Smell

Morning.  Here is a card I created yesterday after playing with a mask and Distress inks.  I was pleased with the results.  Here is what I did.  I placed the mask on my paper and then instead of inking with Distress inks and an inking tool, I pressed my ink pads onto my acrylic block and using a paint brush, painted over my mask.  It gave a more blurred, watercolour effect and reminded me of a trellis.  When it was dry, I overstamped with my flower stamp from ISC.
I am entering this card in the Simon Says Challenge: favourite inks....mine of course are the Distress inks; love playing with the blue ones.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Just Chillin

Ok!  Who doesn't want to be sitting on this beach right now??  The water would be too cold yet, but sitting in the sun would be wonderful especially with a nice summer fruity drink in hand.   Oh well, a girl can dream can't she?
Today, I am playing along with the challenge at Splitcoast and here is what I came up with using a few new stamps I got a Stampfest (NOTE TO SELF: awesome and totally going again next year).
I stamped the chairs in Memento black then coloured them with Copics.  I did a wash on the bkg. to look like the water and the sand.
If you are at the beach or live near one right now, I am totally jealous.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
