It's April 1st and the promise of Spring is right around the corner. My card was created for the CAS challenge at Splitcoast yesterday- shades of blue. I was in.
I started by rubbing on 4 shades of blue Distress inks; Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans and Broken China. Next I sprayed my flower stamp with water and stamped onto the blue. Since Distress inks are water based, the water lifts off the ink leaving behind a ghost image. I love the soft look of the image. I splattered some water on the card front too and added the buttons for interest.
Adding my card to these challenges:
Seize the Birthday- BUTTONS and RHINESTONES
Simon Says- BUTTONS
Thanks so very much for coming by and taking a look.
Supplies- stamps; Unity/ Distress inks/ buttons/ mini mister

I don't think I've seen this technique before...stamping with water onto the inks. Now I'll have to try it!

So beautiful Karen, it looks to me like a deep underwater place with a cool plant floating among the bubbles :)
I did not know that about distress inks and I love that you stamped this with water. It is such a neat technique and gives a nice outcome. So fun!
