Good Morning
No new releases from A Colorful Life Designs this month but so fun to revisit the 'Oldies but Goodies'.
Today I'm using these stencils:
Triangle Fade and the Stitched Harlequin
I decided to go totally non-traditional for this one.
I found this roll off sheet that I had done while Gel Plate printing so that was my starting point.
So, here's what I did to create my card.
- I began by placing the Triangle Fade stencil over the roll off print and inked it up with some Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide ink.
- I lifted that stencil off and laid the Stitched Harlequin stencil over the pattern and inked again with some Black Soot DOX ink.
- Next, I added some white dots with my Posca pen to brighten up the background a bit.
- I set that aside to dry while I stamped and die cut the sentiment.
- I glued the dried stenciled panel onto a piece of white cardstock but I didn't have any orange to match, so I took a piece of white cardstock and rubbed my Abandoned Coral ink pad over it and splattered with my white Posca pen. I used that to border my card front and glued that onto a 4 1/4" square card base.
- To finish my card off, I used some foam tape to add the sentiment and I put 3 little black gems under the sentiment.
Here are the stencils I used:

The orange tones and black look great together Karen, and two more stencils which sit well together, and the circle sentiment finishes it brilliantly. x
I like that you've used two stencils that don't even align, and made them work so well together. It's a gorgeous background that you could use for multiple occasions using different colors too. Very unique Christmas card! Thank you so much for joining us at the Addicted to Stamps & More challenge!
Ah I see what you did there with the title - very clever - love that idea of combining the two stencils - thanks for sharing with us at ATSM
