Welcome
I am totally into creating cards for the holidays, it sneaks up on me so quickly!
Meet one of the new for October stencils from A Colorful Life Designs called
I paired it up with another mid century looking stencil from August called
So, here's what I did to create my card.
- I began by creating the background first. I placed the Bauhaus Geometric stencil over a piece of white cardstock and masked off the sections. I used some Lumberjack Plaid and some Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink to add colour to each section.
- I removed that stencil, splattered with my white Posca pen and set aside to dry.
- Next, I took another piece of white cardstock and placed the Mid Century Bauble Tree over that. I did some masking as I wanted to keep the baubles red and inked with some more of the Lumberjack Plaid and some Rustic Wilderness DOX ink. I used some Fossilized Amber to ink up the star at the top of the tree.
- I glued the stenciled background onto a white A2 sized card base. I fussy cut out the tree then I used some foam tape to pop it over to the side.
- I die cut the sentiment with some white cardstock and glued that onto a red cardstock word shadow.
- I finished my card off by adding one tiny red star at the very top of the tree.
Here are the stencils I used:

Another wonderful combination of two stencils Karen, and the green and red are perfect colours for Christmas, and with just that touch of yellow for the star on the top and a lovely large die cut white on red sentiment. x
Karen, how is it that your DOX inks always look so bright? This is fantastic!
