Silver Tones

I sure hope you aren't getting tired of seeing Christmas card but this year, I have been so inspired and into making them I just can't seem to stop!
This card went in a totally different direction then the card I pictured in my head.  My original plan was to glue the extra snowflakes sitting on my desk onto my card front.  Well I did that then this card took on a life of it's own.
So, let's start at the beginning.  I had die cut snowflakes (my new obsession this year!) using Lawn Fawn and Simon Says snowflake dies.  I tried to cut extras to have on had and ready to go.  I glued them onto my card front then put that into a Cuttlebug Embossing folder (Swiss Dots I think) and embossed it.  By doing the dry embossing, it helped secure my glued snowflakes to the cardstock.  It still looked plain to me so I grabbed my Versamark pad and randomly rubbed it over the front.  I sprinkled on some silver embossing powder and heat set it.  I really like the random, kind of grunged look the powder added.  I stamped the sentiment from Paper Smooches and then mounted it onto a strip that I had pierced holes into.

I am adding my card to these challenges:

Addicted to CAS- DOTS

Simon Says- ANYTHING GOES

Simply Create Too- SNOW, SNOW, SNOW

Crafty Calendar- CHRISTMAS

Sweet Stampin- LET IT SNOW

So happy you could stop in and take a look...thank-you!
