One Stamp- Two Cards

Happy Saturday!

Just recently I noticed there is a new challenge in town, so I wanted to give it a try since it sounded like fun.
The challenge is called Twofer....make 2 cards for different occasions using the same stamp.

So here's what I came up with.

Card #1

I created the first card as one of encouragement that could be used for many different occasions.
I placed this wonderful feather stamp into my Misti and coloured directly onto my stamp using Tombow markers.  I sprayed with water then pressed onto my paper.
I repeated that process until I was happy with the colour blends.
When it was all dry, I stamped the sentiment and clear heat embossed it to help it pop.

 Card #2
I created my second card as a birthday card, more masculine feeling and monochromatic.
Instead of stamping the whole feather, I masked off my card front on an angle, stamped the feathers with gray ink on the left side using my Misti, then turned the feather and stamped again to the side.
I used my ScorBug to add a dotted perforated line to help add interest.

It was fun to see what I could come up with using the same stamp.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Adding my cards to these challenges:
Simon Says Wed.- ADD A SENTIMENT
(card #1)
Use Your Stuff- MONOCHROMATIC
(card #2)
Twofer- FEATHERS

Love the very different looks you got from the stamp - the more neutral one would make a great masculine birthday card. And the gorgeous bright colours of the other one fit well with the beauty in the sentiment and the theme of encouragement.

Two wonderful cards Karen and the peacock feather stamp looks fabulous on both. I love the colours you have used on the right hand card and the great sentiment, and then the monochromatic version is so cleverly designed with the embossed dashes around the two sections, and what a great idea to put it on the diagonal instead of straight. x

Two beautiful designs with your feather stamp, Karen. Love all the colours of the first --- so bright and bold. The sentiment is lovely. The second card is perfect for a masculine birthday card. Great design with masking part of the design and stamping in gray. Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge! xx

Your cards really caught my eye!
I love that gorgeous colorful
card-it reminds me of my aunt and uncles house
in Tennessee. They had a farm and had peacocks in their repertoire of animals. Peacocks are actually very good “watch birds”. Anytime someone drove up the driveway those birds would let out sounds that sounded like a woman screaming :-)
Great job on using the stamp in two different designs!

Fantastic cards, Karen! You've really created two very different cards with that (wonderful) large image - that's a challenge in and of itself! Great details in both your Tombow marker blending and in your masking. Thanks for joining in on the fun at Twofer Card Challenge!

This image looks stunning either way, Karen! I love the vibrancy of the Tombow version, but I also love the soft monochrome of the diagonal version.
