Playing with Ink

Good Morning.
Super simple note card today.
I had some time to just play around with ink; something I love to do.

Here are my card details.
I planned on making a clean, CAS card so I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock for my card front.  Instead of inking directly onto my stamp, I wanted to try and get more of a watercoloured look so I rubbed my Distress Oxide ink pads onto my non-stick craft mat, sprayed with a bit of water and wiggled my stamp into the wet ink.  I was so pleased with the stamped image I achieved.
Simple yet elegant looking.
I scored a simple frame around the edges to define the area with my ScorPal and mounted it onto a white card base.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Adding my card to these challenges:

Accessories and Tools- ScorPal= non-stick craft mat (Ranger)= Mister (TH)

The scoring around the soft stamped image to create a frame works really well.

The colors 'washed' beautifully, Karen, and the scoring adds great detail while keeping the card CAS. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Addicted to Stamps and More and Addicted to CAS.

I don't know how you do it ... if I smooshed, I would have ink all over the place, and not necessary in the center block! You are so good at this. I love the way the image turned out. And sweet CAS design with your watercolouring and scored outline. xx

I really need to practice this technique - you mix your colors so well. The colors are absolutely lovely and so perfect for this soft stamp.
