Good Morning and Welcome.
It's time for another fun theme at
This month our theme is Focus on Background Stamping.
We happily welcome our Guest Deepti Malik- Dee's Art Utopia this month.
Please be sure and check out the wonderful art our team has created!
So onto my card details.
I began with a piece of heavy white cardstock, positioned it inside my Misti and then sprinkled some Brushos onto the dry paper. For those of you that are not familiar with Brushos, they are highly pigmented inks that are activated with water. I tried my best to evenly cover my card front with them using some Emerald Green, Marine Blue and some Turquoise.
Next, I sprayed the Large Floral Bkg from Magenta with water and rubbed it with my finger to help distribute the water evenly, then pressed that onto my paper. The water activated the Brushos from the stamp image. BE SURE to set the wet piece carefully aside to dry. If the water moves into the area of the crystals, you will be left with a blurred image.
When my piece was totally dry, I wiped off the excess Brushos pigment and I was left with a beautiful flower print.
I placed it back into my Misti and stamped the sentiment then clear heat embossed it. I mounted it onto a piece of blue cardstock then onto a plain white card base.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

This technique with brusho is fun, never tried to use brusho like that!

I have never tried this technique before and I so love my brusho's so this has gone on my 'to do' list.....Thank you for the inspiration Karen x. Very artsy and colourful card with a great sentiment x.
This is beautiful. But the way you made it amazes me - I'm sure I'd get brushos all over the water stamped bits and ruin it. I find them so difficult to control! Stunning result and when I have more courage, I may try the technique, lol.

Wow! this is so beautiful! I am going to have to try wet stamping on Brushos. Thank you for the inspiration!
I KNOW I wouldn't be able to do anything like this, so I am in awe at your achievement with the design and beauty of this card.

It's beautiful, Karen, and such rich colors! Thanks for the details! hugs, de
Another slightly different technique using Brushos Karen which has worked brilliantly here and I love the blues and greens and then great sentiment to finish. x
I need to try this technique with one of my floral background stamps! I hope I can get as crisp and beautiful results as you did, my friend!
This is one technique I have to try although I will need to stop myself moving until it dries. Gorgeous Karen :)
I love the crisp image you got with this technique, Karen. I don't think I've tried this before and need to! I have this same stamp. With Christine on the DT of Magenta, I am exposed to their wonderful stamps and stencils ... so hard to not buy all of them! :) Beautiful card, my friend. xx
Beautiful card Karen, lovely colour too, Kate x
This is absolutely gorgeous. Awesome floral design and fantastic colors.
Wonderful use of that beautiful stamp! I must try your method! Love the colours you combined - a wonderful cool calm feeling to them.
Stunning!!!
Beautiful card! I adore the colours.
Your card is beautiful. What a fun technique! I can't wait to try it out. I am pretty sure I have a few negative-image stamps.
This is gorgeous Karen, a fabulous technique - thank you for sharing it with us.

I think it takes the right kind of stencil to do this technique, Karen, and you had it. This is fabulous!
Beautiful card Karen and I love this fun watercolor look with the Brushos! So pretty and the variety of color is beautiful!
