Down the Garden Path

Welcome
Today's card is featuring the new Arches release from A Colorful Life Designs.
Instead of using the whole stencil to create a background design, I used it create a grid pattern.

So, here's what I did to create my card.
  • I cut a piece of cardstock that was 3 3/4" square.  I measured to find my center point and lightly divided the card base into 4 sections and masked one off.
  • I positioned the Arches stencil over the masked area and inked it up with some Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide ink.
  • I moved the masks to the next section, laid down the stencil and repeated that process again, filling up each of the 4 sections.
  • I removed the stencil and all the masks and placed the panel into my Misti to stamp the flowers and the sentiment.
  • I glued it onto a piece of orange cardstock, then onto an 4 1/4" square card base.
  • I added 3 black gems to bring a bit more attention to the sentiment.

Here is the stencil I used:

A wonderful design Karen in that bright orange, and the black silhouette flowers, sentiment and black gems go beautifully over the top..a very clever way to use the Arches stencil. x

Amazing use of the stencil Karen - one would not think that the stencil was an arch! A fabulous card.

What a clever use of the stencil, you are really thinking outside the box on that. Love the stamps too and definitely a path seen there. Love it Karen.
