Home for the Holidays

Welcome to another Christmas card that is super simple and quick.
This month, at One-Layer Simplicity, our theme is

HOME, SWEET HOME

I love this stamp from Serendipity.  I have had it for years and it makes a great card especially for Christmas.  I began by embossing the oval on my card front using a Spellbinder oval die.  I placed the die onto my cardstock and ran it through my Cuttlebug using a rubber mat under the die.  By using the mat, it prevents the die from cutting through the paper and leaves an embossed design instead.
I cut a mask using the same oval die to use as a mask, positioned it over my embossed area then stamped the home image with black Memento ink.  I coloured the image with my watercolour pencils.
I scored the two lines on the bottom for interest then stamped the sentiment from PTI.

Adding my card to these challenges:

CAS on Sunday- RIBBON or TWINE

Addicted to Stamps- MAKE YOUR MARK

Time Out Challenge- EMBOSSING

The Crafter's Cafe- ANYTHING GOES

Divas by Design- SNOW

Thanks for popping in today and taking a look.  I appreciate all you most kind comments and emails.

Supplies:  stamps- Serendipity, PTI/ watercolour pencils/ ScorPal/ bl Memento ink/ Spellbinder oval die

That's a great stamp, perfect for this card and technique of just coloring a selected portion of of the image.
